As much as my brain wants to endorse JOC (James O'Connor), if my facts are correct, it’s also a coincidence that we have never won a test with him as a starting 10. That’s going all the way back to 2013. Personally I’d go Lolesio as Hodge (like Samu) has nailed that bench utility spot and offers so much...

    Rebels 2023

There was clearly a time in this process that he wasn’t. Perhaps the original approach was during this period, then the Reds got him to agree to a new contract but he decided to do a round about turn after that which lead to further conversations with the Rebels and then the Force

That’s not true Lachie Swinton - happened at Tahs Angus Bell - injured during game Dave Porecki - training Harry Johnson-Holmes - training Izaia Perese - during game Ned Hanigan - training Scott Sio - during game Michael Hooper - mental health Quade Cooper - during game Tom Banks - during game...

    Rebels 2023

Reds released a statement saying he executed a binding agreement recently to stay in 2023, perhaps that’s their version of the circumstances, nothing was ever released publically. But then contradicts this when they say a release was given to the Force because they have salary cap pressures. It...

But a role in what? If he was a free agent, right decorum or not, I don’t see where any action could take place as my understanding is he wasn’t officially signed to anyone next year. So technically it was free game. The sad thing is (as a reds member) they appear to be the common denominator...

    Rebels 2023

Did he even have a contract for next year? I’m pretty sure I read Reds were in advanced talks to re-sign him but hadn’t confirmed it. So technically he was free to speak to whoever he wants. Which would indicate he’s simply chosen the Force over Reds and Rebels despite what spin any club wants...

    Force 2023

I think we will see Hegarty starting the season at 10 within Tiatia at 15. Not sold by Stewart at 10, didn’t do anything at u20s level and never shown much there for reds either. He’s a very good 12 and should remain there. Agree with those that mentioned Kuenzel as a better 10 option

Rebels attacking coach might be heading to Japan. An offer too good to refuse. If goes ahead would be interesting to see who would come in

Kerevi out for rest of the year after comm games injury

Only issue would be the 6N block of games. If Italy wanted him and he made himself available would be away for 2 months of the season. But would def provide some punch outwide

Hopefully him been involved in the squad will push him towards an Aus team in the coming year. Reds front row stocks could go from ordinary (minus Tupou) to pretty handy if he ended up there

We need big Cobous to be eligible soon. Id have more confidence with our dwindling stocks if he was available to play either side.

Any talk of Hooper is either nonsense, biased or uneducated. It was only 6months ago the bloke was nominated for world player of the year and 12months ago we were all saying he was in his best form ever.

    Reds 2023

That whole group minus Tupou worries me. Nongorr has potential but the rest I don’t believe have any upside on what they’re currently showing. Hoopert and Fa’agase on at the same time could lead to some roller skates

To'omua has officially left the Rebels. https://melbournerebels.rugby/news/rebels-confirm-To'omua-departure-2022725

    Wallabies 2023

Agreed. I think JOC (James O'Connor) challenge now is to prove his versatility for a 22/23 jersey than directly going into the side at a first choice 10/12/13/15.

After converting the Euro to AUD they also have $35m more to spend a year in income. Retaining players as well that decide to retire can claim upto 40% 10yrs of tax free income back from the government...

    Rebels 2023

I could see this just been his excuse to get out of the contract. The only 5/8 thing that would improve for him would be going from 3rd choice at reds to 2nd choice at Rebels.
