RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

Argentina have looked the more skilful team in the tournament so far and should be able to match Ireland up front. The question is whether they have the discipline in defence to beat a very well organised Irish team.

Magpies won easily in the end 47-19. Wests were a fitter, bigger team and as it went on Randwick struggled to defend and their ball handling fell away.

I think they want to use it as a format to stage bigger games in future. Like an NRL team vs a Super Rugby team, Wallabies vs Kangaroos etc. Not sure how likely the latter is but I could see Super Rugby teams playing NRL teams if they think there's money to be made. Basically it's 13 a side...

It's actually been pretty entertaining. 14-14 after 26 minutes.

Randwick are taking on Wests Magpies in a hybrid rugby game. Kickoff in a minute. It's being streamed at https://www.thestreamingguys.com.au/production/hybrid-rugby/

Fox Sports News have been running a poll this morning about whether the Wallabies win over Wales was boring. Unbelievable. I've never seen anything similar after a low scoring state of origin or NRL final.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

If Folau isn't at least 90% I'd rest him too. He wasn't the same player against Wales, you could tell he wasn't right. If he plays he'll keep exacerbating his injury. I'd rather he gets to 100% for a probable semi final than keep playing him well below his best.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Hopefully a game of rugby will break out in the 2nd half.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

What were Samoa doing not even contesting that last ruck!? I think Scotland haven't really deserved to win this. They've been pretty poor and Samoa threw it away more than anything else. Tough to take for Japan. Scotland are by far the worst team in the quarters. So much to play for now in...

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

And look what happens as soon as Samoa show some patience with the ball. Too late I think though.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

2 rubbish penalties in a row IMO. Scotland will probably score now.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Well that was a ridiculous penalty. That said, Samoa have had so many chances.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

I think Eddie Jones will have lost all of his remaining hair watching this.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

    Well you called it...

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Yeah I think that penalty should have gone Samoa's way. Justice with the missed kick.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

And finally you decide to kick the points! Absolutely mental not to when Laidlaw is so accurate.

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Another one butchered by Samoa! Pass with two hands man!
  18. Omar Comin'

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Well they threw a massive cut out pass 5 metres out from their line with no overlap. That is just stupid and IMO Scotland are lucky Samoa did something so stupid!!
  19. Omar Comin'

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Well your first try was certainly lucky. Your lucky Samoa did something stupid to have their last try disallowed. That's 14 points difference right there that had virtually nothing to do with good play from Scotland. And agreed that they are just as vulnerable in defence. But I think Scotland...

RWC: SAM v SCO (Newcastle): POOL B

Best attacking performance but their discipline is just as bad as ever. Scotland would be well behind if Samoa's discipline was anything other than terrible. And that first try they gave away was just so so stupid. You're lucky to be in the game really. So I think you'll win too but who...
