H.... We tried that with Barnes at ten this very year.... it didn't work then, it's not going to work now. Hawko explained it much more succinctly than I and I couldn't agree with what he said more.

Not in test Rugby, no, not in the modern age anyway. As I said watch the All Blacks & how flat they play. You can't play your flyhalf deeper & expect to get over the advantage line with defenses so dominant.

Rewatch earlier tests this year with Barnes at ten and you'll see why playing flatter is preferable. Or watch any All Blacks test for that matter.

Both anthems were great. It's easier to sing along to our anthem when the chosen singer on the night sticks to the tune & doesn't try to put their own personal twist to it..... We Aussies have a hard enough time staying in time as it is! Whoever did the deed last night did a great job! Also...

For all those doubting & criticising this game being played on the coast, I think it was a resounding success. There was a healthy crowd figure & a great vibe, the facilities were very good & it was great to watch at an intimate venue at friendly prices. Some very good Argie support helped...

Because F'Sautia is also injured and even if he wasn't there is no way he's anywhere near ready to play test Rugby.

And he did set up two, arguably 3 tries. It's just that 2 of those were blown by others Ie: Sharpe getting himself into an awkward position & getting held up & Samo dropping it over the line. People just want to highlight the bad with Cooper (admittedly some shockers last night) & ignore the good.

Well thats a hell of an improvement from last year, at least he's completing more than he misses now. He also made at least one try saver last week.
