    Western Force 2017

Great news for the Force. Really happy for them. Leaves just the Rebels to sign a sponsor now...

    Rebels 2017

Day and Jeffo are, unfortunately, both injured and unlikely for Rd 1. Think we will likely see Retallick, LT & Cummins contesting 2 starting spots. Murray Douglas also training FT with Club and likely to see Super Rugby action.

    Sakaria and OJ Noa?

    NRC onwards and upwards

Taufa has never, ever, been a winger, and he wouldn't be now either. it must be a typo.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Telusa is 100kg soaking wet after a massive feed and a dozen beers. Kingston, Rokobaro another two. Just not the style of winger he seems to favour. As for Taufa, he is a flanker. He has been named on the wing. That is very unusual.

Hasn't TT tried & discarded enough small wingers during his tenure? Junior is not his type... and I have also heard that he rejected the Aussie 7s program as he didn't want to leave Brisbane. As for Sione Taufa being named on the wing, does it matter that he is a flanker?!?

Dewar Shield 2017 & other Vic comps

    Where's Pat Toeta gone?
  8. RebelYell

    Brumbies 2017

Incorrect. He may take the money, but he is ahead of Kerevi on the basis of his Spring Tour.

    Rebels 2017

Definitely agree to disagree on this one. In 2016, Banks would have been a starting 10 at 2 of the Australian franchises (Rebels, Reds) and would have been in the 23 at the Force & Tahs as well, most likely (once Beale got injured).

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

So with Latham at the Reds, Larkham & Walker at the Brums & Tuqiri at the Waratahs, I wonder who the Rebels & Force will pick. For the Rebels I was thinking perhaps Mark Gerrard, Julian Huxley or Stirling Mortlock even (but I bet we'll end up with somebody like Adam Freier!) and no idea for...

    Rebels 2017

Meanwhile, we sgin Garden-Bachop & Volavola, the Brumbies sign Hawera, and this bloke is available again all of sudden... So frustrating, either he or Horrell would be a far better option than any of the aforementioned...

Did you enjoy registering to post Dave? :D

    Rebels 2017

Unsettled as in two blokes who had their cards stamped as 'Wallaby' 2 years ago haven't progressed as we'd like them to have, to the point that we're not even 100% sure either one will start in that position in Round One
  14. RebelYell

    Rebels 2017

I agree, however we have a very, very tough fixture and unsettled halves duo.

    Rebels 2017

Ah gotcha, sorry about the misunderstanding. Where I think the issue has been in recent years has been an overuse of the lineout, particularly for penalties within 30m. With the power we can generate in our scrum, particularly with the addition of Mafi, we should be looking to take advantage...

    Rebels 2017

Ok sure, maybe sub Colby in for Jordy? Day, Colby & Sean/Lopeti cover the jumpers? I'm not an expert in this area...
  17. RebelYell

    Rebels 2017

    Jeffries out for pre-season, should be good for Round 1. 4 - Day 5 - Timani 6 - Reid 7 - McMahon 8 - Mafi 19 - Jeffries/Cummins 20 - Fainga'a
  18. RebelYell

    Rebels 2017

Day & Mafi will both be playing key roles. Also don't be surprised to see Engo trialled at FB...

    The Wallabies Thread

To be fair, they are both young enough to go back the other way - I'd love to see Hodgey play 10 for the Rebels with Jack at fullback, for example.

    The Wallabies Thread

Agreed. I still hope Mason, Jooste or Debreczeni, in particular, step up and make it to the next level.
