Battle of the Blood Red: Lions v Queensland Reds 8th June 2013

Indeed he wasnt a tackler at all (& even if he wasnt I wouldnt call what he did holding on, unless someone thinks brushing across someone constitutes "holding on"). I thought it was a clear case of pilfer opportunity there, opportunity taken. I was waiting for the Lions to get pinged for hanging...

For the love of God don't let Farrell go in for a try.

Was that Cooper pass really all Coopers fault or was that more a case of communication break down? Looking at slo-mo replay I'm saying it looked more the latter.

Reds player taken out in the air at the restart or was that just ruled genuine contest for the ball? Nice kick Quade. Then another nice kick but from Frisby.

Amen to that. Although if Rugby was played like this more often than not it would be the No.1 sport in this county.

It's not like I didnt know already that he has a great long pass but some of the passes from Quade early on, gee wiz - awesome stuff. The 1st one looked a little forward or perhaps just flat but still they are very good passes - as Nathan Sharpe has just pointed out.

I agree with you Mr Horan, "what a start", yes - what a start indeed.

Go the Reds! Captain Quade to play a MOTM performance tonight. On the TV I saw Robinson loading up on the puffer pre game. Good, I have set up an unofficial TAB at home with him my no.1 biffo merchant pick. Another mate has picked Farrell. EDIT: Late ref change too.

    New Zealand vs France

With some of the booing of perfectly legit ref & AR calls you'd think we were at Suncorp - but that's the next game peeps ;) Put the kiss of death on this game hoping it would keep up to standard in the 2nd half.
