    G&GR Fantasy Tri-Nations Competition

i think we pick a new team every week, up to 12 from the same nation... i think its jus an excuse for some promo from blackberry/foxsports> but should help fill the weekly void between games

Mark Gasnier announces his retirement from mungoland. To come to Rugby?

the reds dont need him for any reason tahs or force or brumbies maybe but i dont wanna see any more league converts unless they are young and havnt been corrupted or right at the top.

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

i think your 100 % correct that perception is key and changing perceptions is impossible this is the exact reason im against baxter playing for australia again

    strategies for the tri nations

so we're gunna pack a scrum with kepu and a hooker? my point was that behind robinson and kepu the only other scrummaging prop in the country is not in the squad

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

i dont consider baxter a superior scrummager to mafu and in 10 years i havnt seen baxter do anything but get penalised hes not a noted defender, doesnt support his team mates (one try in super rugby tells me this), doesnt bend the defensive line with his runs, cant hold a scrum up i fact apart...

    strategies for the tri nations

without robinson i doubt we can hope t compete in the scrums now a every other prop being mentioned is not known for scrummaging. i really fear the nz scrum now... and think we must pick our replacement on scrummaging ability only as we will find ourselves a man down to any team with half a brain

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

baxter was penalised for scrummaging in every test against a top 5 opposition i can remember he played in. wether or not he deserved it refs target him. and it might not be fair- but thats a liability the australian team cannot afford to carry. if ive got the choice between 2 props that are...

Benn Robinson Ruled Out for the 2011 Season with Injury

with robinson in the team we had two scrumaging props (with kepu) now we have one (whos recovering from injury ) sure we have blooded other players in the same position in the last years but not a single one of them can scrumage. we now go back to damage control strategies in the scrum which...

    Rob Horne

my main issue with comparing horne with mitchell and vickerman is that he hasnt got 50 + tests to his name and dspite all his potential hasnt been considered the best in the world in his position. ever.

haha maybe the amount of times ive heard he unsung got to me>>

    Rob Horne

i do not understand this obsession with horne? hes played a couple of tests in which he was average. played a few s14 games in which he was very good (and outplayed his opposition everytime as i remember) but he hasnt been on the park all year? and has 30 caps of probably about 70 potential...

    strategies for the tri nations

thinkin abuot the reds game the obsessive kicking was painful but was obviously part of the plan to take the game away from the crusaders strength in the set piece and tire the well travelled kiwis. with a much stronger front row available to us with robinson, moore kepu etc how should we...

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

of course your right there> git might not lose a world cup for us> but he sure as hell wont win one and its not about seeling him short> larkham ha been suggesting git is #1 all year> ie heard it in so many interviews cooper has almost singlehandedly orchestrated many wins for the reds this...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

of course the player would know if the need a rest> id start them unless they relly need a rest> but perfect time for practising situations where we will be under the pump our replacements will need to stand up and show they can control the game

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

combination combinations combinations! deans should start with wht he wants our wc final team to be baring injuries. our best shot against the saffas in game one is if we got the combinatins going as they havnt played for a bit same with the kiwis look to have subs towards the end of first half...

Players we Should Have Selected Ahead of Salesi Ma'afu Based on Form

holmes had his chance in the reds final to show he can scrum against the best in the world. he couldnt

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

getting a bit sick of larkham promoting giteau as the #1 10 in the country> if git was half the 10 cooper is i doubt ther backline would have been so rubbish he had a fantastic year for him but oconner is the next best option is cooper goes down> means we dont have to change the gameplan too...
