    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Good win for Munster in TP last night. Very solid from Munster but Jesus Leinster were brutal. Copeland picked up a shoulder injury which is a concern. Tough game up in Galway on Thursday but I suspect some of the big guns might be back, Cronin hoping to be back for Saracens but John Ryan has...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Fortunately the salary cap looks like it is staying in England, but it is rising substantially next year and now includes two players per club who are classed as 'marquee signings' and are outside the £5.5million (sorry I don't know what that is in aussie dollars). The thing that concerns me...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Oh and just to add, Saracens are saying on their website that ticket enquiries from callers with Irish accents will be regarded with "suspicion". Yes, that is right, in 2014 someone can spout such shite. I said some intemperate things about Glasgow today but, fuck me, Scottish rugby deserves a...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Well it is all happening in Blighty. Saracens langer in chief, Edward Gillepie has gone very public with his wish to see the salary cap in the Aviva Premiership abolished...

It's not sugar daddies in France so much as ludicrous amounts of TV money. Carter has been a wonderful player but a million quid a year is silly for a man of his age and injury profile, imho.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Leinster are an absolute shambles under this clown of a coach. Ulster have been ruined by injuries this season to nearly an entire first team. Humphreys leaving them in the lurch didn't help but when you lose the players Ulster have you are always likely to struggle. Munster were dreadful in TP...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Fingers crossed they and Varley are close, not sure what is happening with Killer and Cronin. Jennings is meant to be back for StStephen's although MOC will probably play a lock at 7. The provinces have not been playing the Irish lads anymore this year, hardly any of them played in the pro 12...

Add Jennings into the Plug mix as well. Along with Reddan three tremendous players at club level even if they are not quite international class.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Leinster miss Plug more than anyone. Healy, SOB and BOD are/were great players but Plug was a dirty fecker who got through a rake of the unseen stuff. That said MOC is a tool. Very proud of Munster after today, given ourselves a sliver of a chance.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

I was being facetious although I thought the order from on high that St Joe's squad players couldn't play against Ulster was a bit strange and didn't help Munster against Clermont. Anyway, what a turd of a game that was in Landsdowne road last night. Two teams playing terrible, error strewn...

If we didn't know Matt O'Connor was a clown before, we do now as he starts Boss ahead of Reddan. Unbelievable selection.

I agree with much of that but Munster's handling errors at the maul/ Lineout made the gain line much more of a battle IMHO. If the team had not been playing together for the first time in nearly two months (thanks Joe) I think we would have seen a sharper display, something I expect on Sunday.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

In relation to Matt O'Connor, who cannot be sent packing from Irish rugby soon enough, I agree. However, judging Munster on last weekends terrible display is unfair, imho. We beat Saracens, who beat Clermont, very comfortably. Let's see how they get on in Clermont, no one gives Munster the...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Munster were piss poor against Clermont but have been very good this season since the usual first two crap performances. Whether stuffing a Matt O'Connor coached Leinster in Landsdowne Road was much of an achievement I am not sure.

Nasty rumours in and around Munster. Killer and Cronin might both be out for Sunday and even worse talk that JJ could be off to the Stains!!!! Hopefully it is contract talk but it has made it into the IT and one of the suspected journalist lurkers on MF brought it up a couple of days ago.

    Wales vs Springbokke

NZ will be fine because wearing the Black jersey is a complete national obsession which covers up a lot of financial short fall. Hayman would still be as good as any NZ tight head imho. But as we all know, union is in a less secure place in Aus in terms of priority for the public and finances.

    Wales vs Springbokke

It is not just SA that is fucked, the international game as a whole is on the slippery slope to ruin. There is simply too much money in France and now the clubs have control through out the NH there is nothing the Unions can do about it. This is going to unravel spectacularly (badly) after the RWC.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

It is a disaster of a format which has produced seven of the eight quarter finalists before the second round was up because of the stupid seeding system, but the rugby side of the Nigels cup doesn't worry me, the likes of Boudellaj, Wray, Lonzeretti and Craig being in charge of the whole of the...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

At least we agree it was pure self interest from Scotland and fuck everyone else. I won't be shedding any tears when the English and French come calling for the Glasgow players after the RWC when there is going to be a bloodbath of players.
  20. the plastic paddy

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Boudellaj is talking about clubs being compensated by all the unions for player release for internationals. Unfortunately he and his fellow club owners now have control of the club game in the NH so they have a lot more leverage. When the RWC is over the owners in England will start chucking...
