Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

If the referee can notice repeat infringements such as at the scrum, breakdown and offside line as Joubert does, he can certainly notice that the game he is controlling comes to a screaming halt with repeated delays of game by the same team. I'm not sure of the specific rule but there is a rule...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Agree, the key thing though is where on the rugby field he gives those penalties. There 'penalties' and there are "penalties"

Genia is captain if Horwill is out, Deans will not look elsewhere.
  4. It is what it is

Australia vs British and Irish Lions 2nd Test (Melbourne)

Why was the Lions deliberate tactic of laying down for a breather at every opportunity not addressed by Joubert? The Lions conveniently had a player go down at far too many stops in play for scrums and lineouts, delaying restarts by over a minute per time. It was like watching the Cheetahs of...

    Shute Shield 2013

Eastwood looked line men V boys against Randwick. You can't deny Randwick's effort, but Eastwood were just cruising in 2nd gear. For Randwick it was a repeat of their effort against Manly

Vunipola didn't seem to get much reassuring support from his team mates during his horror scrum period. I saw only his hooker pat him quickly on the shoulder to encourage him. He's only 22 and he must have felt mighty lonely out there at times.

Rebels v Lions - Tuesday 25 June, AAMI Park

Thanks for the suggestion No4918, but I just shouldn't have to. The guy just picks out what's obvious and waffles and dribbles it out for 4 and 5 sentences. Otherwise, enjoying the game.

Rebels v Lions - Tuesday 25 June, AAMI Park

Can someone get Brendan Cannon (Captain Obvious) to please shut the fuck up

    James Horwill cited for stamping

Can't possibly include Horwill in the same class of thug as Loe and Botha

    James Horwill cited for stamping

I like your thinking. Distract the buggers by getting them to fight among themselves. It works well in Australian politics too.

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2013

Is that kid from 30 years ago coaching in the NRL now?

    Bring Back Rucking

Rucking was effective in getting people out of the way the next time they thought about doing it Crow.
  16. It is what it is

There is way too much ref "coaching" out there

Clever captains speak to the referee when their team is in possession after a penalty has been awarded their way or a try scored. The ref isn't under pressure to 'play on' and there is greater 'open to listen' evident. Sean Fitzpatrick and Cameron Smith (QLD RL) have mastered this technique...

    Waratahs 2014

And so he should, the other players were exhausted from the heat and he runs fast. There was space everywhere. Wait until he plays in NZ in the cold at night when the Kiwi's aren't hot and exhausted
