Joeys 16as over Knox 22-7 in a scrappy match where the willingness of the Joeys forwards was the difference. Didn't appear much difference in skill level and Knox had the better of the set piece. Knox had 3 tries disallowed (correctly imo) and have only themselves to blame for a lackadaisical...

@JT are you tipping re 1sts or U16s?

@SDW, what happened to Murphy - is his injury serious? Would be a shame for CAS u16s if he wasn't available for the schools trials.

@OAUI, I assure you Saul Lewis did not play beyond MNZ last year. If you go back through past ggr threads from July 2015 you can readily find a list of last year's U15 Syd and then NSW teams. He is not on either.

Luke Reimer, Mitch Brown and Jayden Kitchener (2015 NSWJRU u15s) have all joined Barker and are playing 1sts along with Dave Tejcek. Reimer in particular will add some starch and mongrel to the CAS U16s pack. Have heard that Knox had a good hit out v Mount Albert Grammar School in Auckland...

Would be good to assess after first few rounds. GPS have been bolstered in both age groups with the arrival of new boys (eg, Dom Easy, Keith Titmuss and Saul Lewis in 16s) so I wouldn't necessarily read too much into what happened in 2014.

Correct. Jack Walsh was NSW u15s fly half. Saul was FH for MNZ but not then selected to higher level.

Anyone catch the 16As? On paper looked a very good match up.

Looking at the View team on the program it appears only 15yos are Bell and Easy. Anyone know how these two went? Both very good players

Are these serious injuries or just out for the 7s? Would be a huge blow to Waves if longer term

I've heard that Dom is in 1sts squad for Scots 7s and for 15s season thereafter, though trials still to be worked through. Anyone able to confirm?

Williams is officially coaching the u16s with Tai Glassie the 1sts, but I think williams stays pretty heavily involved with the Opens. Basson is the 8 and was there last year as a year 11 lad. He has a strong Gotdon reps background. Agree re 16s Knox v Waves shaping as a ripper. If there is...

No, they all played 16s, though they did lose centre Tom Cameron with concussion 20 mins in. Rods description of Joeys above applies equally to the Augs u16s

Keh? You might want to take a look at Knox HSC results for past few years. If they are producing landscapers and brickies, it's probably due to the $ to be earned plying these trades on the north shore, not academic performance.

No disrespect to Matt Minogue, but I think the 2015 Sydney and NSW U15s centre pairing (before Endemann was injured) will be reunited, though I agree Easy is better at 13. Minogue can play 10 or 12 equally well off the bench. So can Savala, but Minogue does it better and when they went head to...
