    Reds 2015

Some of the smaller running backs are about the 200-210 pound range. Kick returner would be a good spot for him. I'm excited about what JOC (James O'Connor) might bring back as far as tactical kicking and goal kicking prowess that he may have picked up from a good set of coaches up North including J.Wilkinson.

Sure, but no pressure on the kid. Have the Reds fully filled their squad now or is there still space for an older more experienced prop to round out the squad?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Izzy suffered toward the back half of 2014 I think largely because he was heavily marked and didn't adapt and pull out any different tricks, basically everyone worked out his hop step and shimmy on the outside move and defenses just slide across hard. He also can't kick for territory and doesn't...

    Reds 2015

The boys have it in them to play smart, powerful and winning rugby. Lots to be excited about. I believe

    Reds 2015

Looks like they are really committed to looking after Thor and making him feel at home here. Great stuff. Hopefully he grows into the absolute weapon he could be

    RWC 2015

I certainly see your point but disagree with your disagreement. The Sio thing is based on potential I'll freely admit that but I'd suggest is worth the gamble if the Brumbies would play ball (which they won't but we can't have it all). Though if we're taking 5 props I suppose it may not really...

    England v Australia

Nah fuck that, it's two selections that would perhaps have been ballsy but would have been the right ones (Jones to stay at 6 and Cooper to start at 10,McMahon or Hodgson off the bench). The relative set piece weakness of that side has caused me to change my tip from Wallabies by 5 to England by 5

    England v Australia

Ok, so back to the game. Is the team announced at 3pm same as lat week? I reckon we would want to see 1 Slipper 2. FTS or Chibba (whoever is fit) 3. Kepu 4. Simmons 5. Carter or Horwill (whoever is fit) 6. Jones 7. Hooper 8. Big Dog 9. Phipps 10. Cooper 11. Tomane 12. To'omua 13. TK 14. Speight...

    RWC 2015

There doesn't HAVE to be, the same as there doesn't HAVE to be 3 halfbacks because 2 are required in the 23. It may be a good idea, but not essential.

    RWC 2015

I tend to think that the Wallaby cattle, if everyone remains fit and healthy, is really the rival of anyone in the world. So for RWC you're dealing with a squad of 31 or 32. For the purposes of this speculation I will say 31 (because of extra prop etc.). That Breaks down to - Props: 4...

    England v Australia

I'm less upset about the loss this Monday than I was last Monday, we played better and with more patches of cohesion against the Paddies than against the frogs. Improvement is improvement (though it's still pretty shit that we have to be still in the "coming together" phase this close to a RWC)...

    Pete you're spot on there

    Ireland v Australia

Surely Faulkner, Skelton and Beale have to be the ones to drop off. Unless TGC is happy for Izzy to cover both wings (which he might be) and wants our set piece to go several steps south of shithouse late in the game. No Hodgson anywhere is rather concerning

    Ireland v Australia

    Good selections given the circumstances

    Ireland v Australia

I'd be on board with that side. Carter back in I'm iffy on. I'd probably remain with Horwill for now and have Carter on the bench for Skelton

    Ireland v Australia

^ shocker of an attitude that one. Giving up is not and should not be in our lexicon, as any part of the rugby fraternity (players, coaches or fans). They're our Wallabies, and we should want them to win every Test Match, especially considering we have a game against the fucking Soap Dodgers...

    Rebels 2015

Tenuous indeed. We have a squad spot WIDE open for our prodigal son PAE should he want it.
  18. hammertimethere

    Ireland v Australia

    1. Slipper 2. Fainga'a 3. Kepu 4. Simmo 5. Kev 6. Jones 7. Hooper 8. Big Dog I thought the starting tight 5 were effective at set piece time for the period of the game before they were replaced. I also thought they were aggressive, just not very accurate around the ruck and in the carry...

    France v Australia

Gee it's a good thing I qualified myself with that comment then.

    France v Australia

There were two things that stood out to me as glaringly obvious reasons why we couldn't seem to get a foothold in the game. - Skill sets (to use a term thrown around by the AB's). We dropped an unacceptable amount of pill in contact. It was diabolical. It was related both to poor execution and...
