Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

Spirited defence by Scotland as the score remains 13-14 to NZ at 60 minutes, but can't help feeling the territorial pressure will eventually tell.

Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

Les Kiss has reinforced the Irish defence; Matt Taylor has done the same at Scotland. The fact that the ABs haven't scored 20+ points and wrapped the game up by half time is significant. How did Australian rugby let these guys slip through the cracks?

Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

ABs blowing overlaps......... this is un-AB-like
  4. Bairdy

Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

Uncharacteristically poor by the ABs. Scotland have some half decent backs so will be a lot more competitive against this second-string ABs backline than in the past.

Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

Finn Russell the next best thing at flyhalf from Glasgow, a la Duncan Weir two years ago?

Why is Munster playing the All Blacks in Edinburgh

    France v Australia

Will be delirious and inebriated for this game. Wobblies better not disappoint.

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

England's fortunes in the November tests are eerily similar to their 2012 November tests. Were close in their games against Australia and South Africa but came up short. Then the disappointment culminated in that blinder against the ABs. Hope we're not on the end of a beat down

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

Coenie coming on for JdP; surely there is a TH available in South Africa - with Malherbe injured - that is better than playing a natural LH at TH?

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

Cue PN to unleash a tirade on how fascinating it is to see two tough, uncompromising forward-orientated teams bash each other in set-pieces and mauls for the lion's share of the first half. And how you can not possibly appreciate the beauty of 10 man rugby because you're an American

    England v Springboks - Twickenham

SA up 13-3 but neither they nor England are in control

    France v Australia

Expect France to actually work hard in defence and stick to their defensive pattern.

    France v Australia

Intriguing that people always go back to Skelton's debut against a disinterested French side - who didn't feel like defending that day - as a reason why he should be persisted with despite his misgivings. Meanwhile Jones has a timid, ineffective debut a week earlier in that tight, high...

    IRB Annual Awards 2014

Thanks for the spiel Mrs. Sexton. For me, it's a toss up between Vermuelen and Retallick - Vermuelen more so because he has played the more games then the latter (I think?). How Willie le Roux is on that list is beyond me. If anything, George North should be there before him. Wouldn't be...

    Brumbies 2015

A comparison could be made between James Dargaville and George North. Both Dargaville and North started off as forwards (in North's case, he was a lock), and you can discern that fact from their physicality. We all know how prolific North is, so it will be interesting to see how Dargaville...

Scotland v All Blacks @ Murrayfield

Hoping for another cracker of a match like the 2012 fixture. Now that was a game! Scotland were in it for 50 odd minutes uncharacteristically, and the All Blacks put on an absolute masterclass in exploiting overlaps.

    Official Tetera Faulkner Bandwagon Thread

He is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I knew when I saw Tetera debut in 2011 against the Rebels that he was a great player in the making. I dare say he could easily become our premier scrummaging loosehead for the next decade. Hop on the bandwagon before it rolls on

    Ireland vs Springbokke @ Aviva

    Ireland are darkhorses

    France v Australia

Let's just hope they don't watch the match tapes from the June tests. Otherwise we could be facing a roused, impassioned French side, inspired by the spirit of Marseilles. On top of that, we will be facing them a couple of days after Remembrance Day
