I agree, but went with a 2 because anything is possible - hey, the Reds kept Richard Graham on for the start of 2016 when everyone else thought otherwise!

    Rebels 2018

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is Not At All Shocked and 10 is Really Shocked, I'd go with maybe a 2.

    Rebels 2017

Ha! Yes, but technically it is from a Woodies / Rats upbringing!
  4. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2017

My Dad would have disowned me if I played (or followed) League!
  5. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2018

Doesn't surprise me and a good signing. Hope he lives up to the form he has shown in U20s.

OK, just so you know, I've spent the last few months refusing to shit-can the Force as a means of survival, but it has become very apparent the directive out of Force Central is to do anything and everything to criticise Rugby in Victoria as a way of making themselves look good. Bugger being...

    What he said.

Seriously, what have the Rebels been spending $33 million on? Gold-plated toilet seats? I expect most of it went on Vic the Rebel's costume. Hey, what do Jack the Ripper and Vic the Rebel have in common? They have the same middle name. Boom! Tish!

Because we're Melbourne - we are very special.

I just hope the ARU aren't using this forum to calculate the financial sustainability of each club.

    Rebels 2017

You could say that about a lot of sporting teams: Storm, Mustangs, Ice, Vixens etc.
  12. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2018

They tend to need to get scheduling sorted as early as possible so the later this is the more likely it is 5.

I would like to see Placid stay. In his very limited time this year he has impressed.

But, but, but... why are they signing players when they won't be around next year and Victoria has no grassroots Rugby or player pathways and they only got minus 2 billion at the Wallabies game yesterday? I'm so confused. Could social media be, cough, lying?

Wallabies v Fiji, 3pm Sat 10th June, AAMI Park, Melbourne

I actually thought Fiji gave a decent performance, considering they were missing a few players. Certainly entertaining.

Wallabies v Fiji, 3pm Sat 10th June, AAMI Park, Melbourne

It's actually the "wet weather" bye (because it's always raining in Sydney) that weekend and with more rain predicted this weekend, they could end up playing the same day.

    Rebels 2017

Oh, yes. That is an uphill battle for us to win. You have to wonder if they ignored team and went for performance, maybe the Wallabies could be champions. Maybe.

Wallabies v Fiji, 3pm Sat 10th June, AAMI Park, Melbourne

Again, we had 30k for England last year. 2nd tier team coupled with the Super Rugby debacle = less tickets sold.

    Rebels 2017

They are picking individuals on performance not teams. That said, it is much harder to get international call-ups if your teams is performing poorly.

So, the sold out AAMI Park test last year was full of average Melburians who care not for Rugby? And no, not all ex-pat poms, either. It is easy to say Perth would draw a bigger crowd when you can't actually prove it.
