    Where to for Super Rugby?

Sorry what? The players stance in NZ is they want fewer derbies cos it's physically way too demanding. The franchises in NZ like the derbies because they generate more $ from Steve Tew today "Ideally if I was representing the views of our players, we wouldn't be going to home and away...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's a stretch. Between 03 and 09 the Canes made the semi finals 5 times. Before 03 whilst they may not have always been successful they had exciting superstar players (e.g. Umaga, Cullen, Lomu etc). Do you mean the Highlanders? I guess if you look at the NZ Conference there has typically...

Auckland Blues To Infinity and Beyond

The Blues have had to play 3 NZ derbies, 2 of them away - whereas others like the Sharks play no Kiwi sides this year, so talking straight table points isn't exactly fair either.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think this boat was missed with the initial expansion, before AFL, A-League, Big Bash etc got their footprint in the area. Absolutely agree there is/was certainly a huge opportunity to brand a franchise as starkly different to the Waratahs, whilst also challenging Australian Rugby stereotypes.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Aside from the fact as a Blues fan we missed out on the playoffs last year simply due to the Conferencing system... the system doesnt help the integrity of the competition. As an example, the Brumbies were average last year... but got a home quarterfinal.... and nobody showed up for it in...

Super Rugby 2017: matches not involving Australian teams

Blues named for Crusaders clash. West benched and Ranger dropped - can't say its not deserved given their performances. No idea how Collins keeps getting selected though - slow and useless under the high ball. Especially when Nanai was so good at 15 last year. 1 Pauliasi Manu, 2 James...

Super Rugby 2017: matches not involving Australian teams

Mitch Hunt can definitely play first five - he was the backup 10 for Auckland in the 2015 ITM Cup season - he started the first game of the season then had to sit on the bench behind captain Simon Hickey. I'd say it will be either Hunt or McKenzie. Hunt is a good player - he's just tiny.
