    Brumbies 2019

Strange recruit. We already have Arnold, Carter, and Enever as our first choice locks, and should be looking to develop Swain. Backrow seems pretty full as well, as I expect we'll be seeing some combo of Cusack, Samu, Pocock, and Valetini in the backrow. I imagine this means we're not making...

Australia vs South Africa 8th September

To'omua kicking at 85% in the Premiership, none of them gimmes in front of goal. Hodge should be the preferred choice, though.

Wish Dargaville was still here, and still with the Brumbies!

Only reason I can imagine To'omua at 12 with Beale at 10 is for defensive stability, lord knows To'omua has defensive awareness and a great tackle. Other than that, I don't know why you'd pick the best Aussie 12 since prime Giteau out of position if you didn't need to.

Luke Jones is very Fardy-esque, and will likely walk into a wider training squad, though the jump to the matchday 23 will be harder for him.

As always, I welcome quality coming back to Aus. Lord knows the Tahs need second rowers who can do more than jump in a lineout. But if the Wallabies need someone with bulk, a running game, and proven ability when disrupting a maul, then we should be picking Matt Philip or Rory Arnold. As an...

Always want more quality in Canberra. I'd be happy if every bloody Wallaby was here. Mayhew was basically Sio's equal and that situation was great, given Sio's injury record.

Fewer than seven years in Super Rugby, fewer than 60 caps for Aus, Skelton isn't happening. He also just signed his deal with Saracens last year.

    Or Mayhew or Erasmus, agreed.

I would, without a doubt, prefer to see To'omua at 10 for the Wallabies. He has pretty much every skill you could want from a rugby player; he even has a decent lineout throw. His ability to perform at 12 is not because he is a 12, but because of his sheer quality, and it is no surprise that the...

Ireland are meant to have a system preventing more than one foreigner per position in the country; Ulster were unable to re-sign Ruan Pienaar because Leinster had signed Jamison Gibson-Park first. I believe we used to have a rule limiting each franchise to two non Wallabies eligible players...

I'll go through the positions: LHP: Sio is nailed on, though I hope Slipper or JP Smith offers some competition. Robertson has potential, but isn't up to the level of test rugby yet and should be kept away from it. HK: Tatafu is nailed on, and we have a good young group coming through. Of the...

Obviously you have to do something with the ball, but even a team that just retains possession and runs in a straight line will probably break the line or win a penalty eventually. You want to do more than that, I'm not going to say that I'd enjoy a backline doing nothing but crash ball, but you...
