    Fair enough and yes blokes have switched between the two Qld NRC teams - I think Sam Greene played for QC (Quade Cooper) and later BC in the first year. I am old fashioned fan and don't like seeing players switch clubs. On that front if Izzy switch to the Reds next year - I wonder which QPR he would...

    Penguin - as a matter of interest - how have you rated Karmichael Hunt's contribution in his first two games for the Magpies? Do you think that QC (Quade Cooper) & KH will play for BC in the NRC? (Apologies for all of the acronyms!!) More so do you think that they would even want to? If they don't who...

    Oracle possibly you could take a glass half full approach to this - conceivably teams could be a bit off after the week break. When finals roll around in the next few weeks we will be talking about whether it is really beneficial to have a week off or to play ever week?

    Historically (2011-17) number of wins/points to make finals v currently (to Round 16): 1st: 13.6 wins; 65.7 points => Uni 10; 48; 2nd: 11.4; 57.7 => GPS 10; 47; 3rd: 10.7; 54.0 => Easts 9; 41; 4th: 10.0; 50.3 => Souths 8; 41; 5th: => Bond 8; 40; Fair to say that wins & points will be down in...

    As for the race for the spoon: Norths 24 - Bros; Bond; Wests 23 - Easts; Bros; Brothers 21 - Norths; Wests; Sunnybank 21 - Souths; Bye I am prepared to call that Norths, Wests & Bros are safe - Sunnybank will get the spoon. Apologies to all @ Albion for wishing the spoon upon them (it was...

    Legaleagle there are many possible permutations - one you haven't considered is that your lads get stalled on 47 and get run down by Souths or Easts and they secure 2nd spot behind Uni or alternatively Uni stall on 48 and deliver GPS with the minor premiership with Souths/Easts in 2nd. The...

    Table after today Uni 48 GPS 47 Souths 41 Easts 41 Bond 40 Next week Bond have a bye; Easts v Wests Souths v Snbk Souths & Easts have better F&A than Bond so even a 4 point win to Souths & Easts will be curtains for Bond's final aspirations - what Bond would do to have secured one more win...

    I was interested in Dan Crowley's thoughts published in today's Sunday Mail. It seems that there will always be different views in Rugby but holding a different view to someone else does not equate to defamation at law. Nor does it equate to cowardice. I respect people's opportunity to...

    We've all had our say now (some more than others) but let's get back to the footy - table after today with the draw at the canal and Bros win at home over Snbk the most notable results. Table is: GPS 43 Uni 43 Souths 40 Easts 37 Bond 35 Norhs 23 Wests 23 Bros 21 Snbk 21 Bond are the only side...

    That will do me - Magpies stooping to all time low. They are a model club at present with a: - #7 who calls the Ref a cheat; - #8 who is a serial shoulder charger to the head/neck area; My question is whether he qualifies for finals? You have to play 6 games to qualify but Reds contracted...

    What was the outcome of the hearing? Why aren't the findings of QPR judiciary hearings made public? I think the supporters of the competition deserve to know the outcomes and they serve as a deterrent for the players. They set the standard of behaviour for the competition.

    Yeh they only had a 7 day turn around - the high performance unit got their timing out!!!

    I'd rather have Gordon than Foley @#12 in my side. He's strong and the left foot kicking option is very handy. As for other Tigers who might feature would be their two Fijians.

    Maybe the Reds will arrange some scratch matches between the end of Super Rugby and the NRC so that they don't have to play QPR?? An example of why "high performance"/"player workload management" has gone mad in this country - its not restricted to Rugby mind you.

    These are my projections for end of season - in the above post - I have pretty much projected wins for the higher ranked sides except for Rnd 17 Norths v Bros and Rnd 18 GPS v Easts - just to show how tight it will get at the end of the season in the race for the top 4 and the wooden spoon. I...
