ASY (Angus Scott-Young) doesn't do the flashy stuff but you can see why Thorne likes him. Hits hard, works hard - always bounces up for repeat efforts, no nonsense bloke. Like Jets said his game allows the back row and a bloke like Uru to do what they do best. Compliments that pack very welk.

Agree on the locks. Ther was a young Qld bloke down there who many had big wraps on. Could be a better shout than the 2 journeymen starting now. I think the Brumbies backrow more than stack up against the Tahs one. Even Force have a decent back row however not flashy.

I didn't get the Lance hate after the trial. Particularly in the first 10 mins when the force had consistent ball he controlled the game very well and was putting the ball and receivers into space as well as picking the right runners. Looks to me like he is still a danger with ball in hand too...

Agree with pretty much all of the above. I will say that our clean out work in general is sub par. Far too many turnovers from our attacking rucks (Wobs & Wob A). At Wobs level seems to be connected to how flat or wide our support players are to the ball carrier. I'm sure they will get it right...

Horton being booted perplexes me. I thought he was fantastic this year. Particularly for a debut season(?). He does need to bulk up a bit but is very much in the vein of an Adam Frier or Chibba Hanson. I'm good with this because it adds a point of difference. As long as his set piece is strong...
