    Waratahs 2014

When you have a look at his teammates can you really blame him? The Rebels were absolutely rolled in both of those games being talked about. The fact that people can pull out two defensive lapses, or three if you count the Ranger one, over the course of his career as evidence of his weak defence...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

If these are the revolutionary tactics of E. McKenzie, then I'm firmly on board the bandwagon to get him coaching the Wallabies. Pretty sure no one has ever tried targeting JOC (James O'Connor) like that, will be interesting to see how he deals with it.

Stiff upper lip and all that champ. That's the way.

And he's played almost 200 minutes more rugby than JOC (James O'Connor).

They're obviously not like-for-like incidents. The difference, as I see it, is that Cooper did what he did knowing it would cause a reaction. Nothing would have come of the Beale incident if Vuna hadn't jumped on Twitter. One was a team incident behind closed doors, or at least should have been...

That's the last one that made the media. You seriously reckon there aren't punches thrown in training?

    Wallabies Watch

You seriously think he's the only Australian rugby player to ever punch a teammate? Come on. And that's really not why Cooper was left out - part of the reason at best.

    Wallabies Watch

Will he have time to play a game of Soup before it's named? If he does, then yes. Proven ability to win matches by hand and foot. Brilliant combination with O'Connor. Best fullback in Australia when fit. Can you imagine him, JOC (James O'Connor), Folau and Digby charging around together? Carnage.

    Rebels 2013

He's not great front on, I'll give you that. Fine at chopping people down from side on though.

    Rebels 2013

I don't think anyone's said that? It's about weighing up the pros and cons. I'd say most of us recognise that Phipps has an edge in defence and when it comes to organising the forwards. However Stirzaker's strengths - his pass and decision making are more influential than Phipps' strengths. He...

    Rebels 2013

It's all well and good to say that Sidey is finally starting to play to an acceptable level, but there is a monumental difference between him and JOC (James O'Connor). I'd say that Hill will play JOC (James O'Connor) at 10, but this would be a great chance to give him a run at 12.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Lilo, Horne, Folau, Cummins, Simmons, Slipper... well, pretty much the entire team in fact.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

Anyone reckon Pyle is a chance to make the final squad? I reckon we need one more lock, has to come down to Douglas or Pyle doesn't it? Unless MMM is taken.

    Rebels v Waratahs, rd15 SR2013

Was dragged out by the ladyfriend so missed all but the first 20 minutes. Sounds like Higgers had another big game. Did Pyle do his Wallaby chances any good or still too far out of the frame? Stirzaker prove, once again, that he's better than Phipps? Any other notable performances?

    Rebels 2014

I'd be happy to keep Hill on board in some capacity. I like that we've scored 32 tries this year, suggests we actually have got things moving. We're still wildly deficient in so many basic areas of the game that there's no way we'll start winning consistently until we get them sorted. Blues...

Social Media Response to Wallabies Squad

Strong post Pfitzy. Deans has picked his squad with winning the Lions in mind. We might not agree with all of the picks, but there is logic to each and every one of them.

Alexander has been pretty shoddy at THP though. Great around the park, but weak in the scrum. I'm not sure Kepu is on the right side of a 50-50, who's the other side? Holmes, Sio, or someone else? Palmer is injured, if he's fit he'll be one of the final six. Dennis - Similar argument as with...

    Rebels 2014

I've talked about this elsewhere, but he consistently looked like our most dangerous back ball-in-hand with us. Had poor hands, but he was still carving up when he could hang onto it. I'm happy he's come good at the Tahs, but he's exactly what we need.
