    Shute Shield 2014

Woodies looked very strong and I thought the students looked pretty ordinary. Saying that, they never gave up. Good crowd too which looked good on tv. Is it me or is the shute shield seeing a bit of a resurgence this year? Crowds and tv ratings seem to be up a lot.

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

Did anyone notice all of the hoardings at tg Milner on the abc today advertising the greater Sydney rams? There was quite a good crowd to see the woodies get up and you have to assume gsr will be well supported.

    Western Force 2014

I had heard that ol Growdie was kicked out of the Wallabies hotel some years back and has been bitter and twisted ever since. I sent old Georgie Robinson a welcome email and stated that it was refreshing to see olf greg replaced by her. She said that she owes Growdie for teaching her everything...

    Waratahs 2014

To be fair Quick Hands, the weather in the week leading up to the Reds game and during the game itself was shocking. It had been bucketing down. The Tahs averaged 15k at the sfs last year and we're at 16k this year with day games and the Brumbies to come so you would expect a spike.

    The Mighty Two Blues

I received an email re the Anzac Day clash against the stags on Friday. As the tahs are away, I think I'll rally the troops and try to get a posse along. (Not pussy).

Ticket sales looking good for sat night. Only gold tix available in the bleachers by the looks of it. Can the crowd reach 20k this season?

    Waratahs 2014

You could argue that the tahs crowd averages for 2014 at teh SFS are currently substantially higher than in 2013. There was a rain affected crowd of 11k and the Cheetahs game attracted 13k. The lowest crowd this year at the SFS has been about 15,500 with 3 more games to go and 2 being arvo ones...

ANZAC Day anthems - BRU vs CHI

Any idea how ticket sales are tracking along? Surely all the locals would have gone away over Easter so you would expect a full complement of members, defence personel, Kiwis and walk-ups on Friday. Surely that would make for a crowd of 15,000 as The Chiefs won the thing last year. What are the...

The Awful Truth About The ARU's Financial Position

I don't think Pulver is stupid and I have some blind faith that the next TV deal will see a fair bit more $ flow to Aus. Surely games in SA can be held occasionally earlier in the day so Aus fans can watch their teams play and similarly saffa games in Aus could be played a smidge later at night...

    Tahs v Bulls, round 10 2014

with a 6 year old son and a 4 year old daughter? fkcuing AFL/SCG trust.

    Waratahs 2014

I'm still agog at the complete disregard the SCG trust yet again has shown towards the Tahs. The fucking swans are playing at 4.40pm meaning that it is highly unlikely that anyone will be able to get a park in time for the Tahs game at 7.40. Thats it! never will I mention, watch or consider AFL...

    Tahs v Bulls, round 10 2014

fuck me, I come from the Northern Beaches and was going to head in at 5.30 to have a couple of beers in the car park prior. So what you are telling me is that I probably wont even get a fucking car park because of fumball. Fuck the SCG trust give me the shits - this is going to be carnage. I...

Guys - does anyone have a link to the podcast with Mark S? I can't seem to find a download button and am very keen to hear what he has to say.

    Great start to the season!

I know Newport have identified BOBS as one of the key clubs to target this year. Whilst the loss to UNSW in round 1 saw a well deserved victory to the hosts, feedback from BOBS was that we needed to ‘take all points on offer’ so the game could have gone either way. Harwood has again formed his...

    VRU 2014

Thanks swingpass - you know, we might just see if we can fill a table. I think one of our group works in Melbourne with a Uni player. I'll keep an eye on the details. (managed to get advance tickets to the test match by simply typing in the code word, 'Foundation' in case anyone wants to get in...

    Waratahs 2014

The way I look at it was that the tahs backline was a last minute patched together one so they lost a lot of the patterns that would have been second nature. When do we get Betham, Alofa, Palu etc back?

    VRU 2014

Guys, We’re a group of 8 heading down to Melbourne for the Test vs France. My thirsty chums and are looking for a rugby lunch to attend earlier that day. It doesn’t have to be a schmick one and we’d be happy to attend one at a clubhouse or similar. Anyone know of any lunches on that day?
