Could the Kiwi's be losing Dan Carter?

Fail to see how derogatory avatars are relevant to Dan Carter, but personally I think the wallaby kiwi logo is offensive. The origin of it was funny, but call me homophobic, if someone joked with me about that kind of thing in person I'd struggle not to flatten them. Not in the anzac spirit at all.

    G&GR RWC Fantasy League

Not impressed with the deadlines, injuries and squad selections are happening long after. Fox need a more flexible system, either unlimited transfers or a much larger bench, or both. Will be fine come elimination, but as it stands the thing is a lottery not a tipping contest.

Surprise Call up of Matt Giteau to RWC Squad

    Priceless Scarfie.

England at the Rugby World Cup

I hear you Lee. My intended comparison was of attitude and power, qualities I see in Matfield and Vickerman. Lawes has attitude, power but also speed. A compelling combination that will take him far I believe. Eales, different attributes altogether, silky skills and a psychic reader of the...

    Waratahs 2012

Certainly looking forward to Tahs in 2012 here. Well, except when they play the Rebels, where clearly I will be applying my Jedi mind powers full force in Rebels favour vs the evil empire. Sadly my Jedi mind powers probably won't achieve much but they shall be applied nevertheless. Rapt to see...

    Farr-Jones ?traitor

Maybe you're right WJ but I have seen plenty of people dismiss the Richie is a cheat stuff. It's always seemed tongue in cheek to me, the guy is a class act. Not to say he's some kind of angel, but he is text book professional. Which of course just makes Quade even more of a dick. And I'd...

    Farr-Jones ?traitor

I had no issue with Farr Jones points. I think the Quade's a dick thing has been blown out of all proportion in NZ to the point its silly, but a dick is still a dick. He needs to be better than that and I'd be astonished if Deans, Nucifora and co haven't already told Quade so.

    Is Genia Hitting the Roids?

Racist, wtf? Let's get something straight right now, discrimination is the vilification of an individual due to their membership in a group. The only vilification Digby cops is from opposition fans who can't stand seeing how he makes their players look like 12 year olds. Which would be ageism :p

    G&GR RWC Fantasy League

Well poor planning on my part plus two injuries has seen me royally screwed and that's not counting bloody Carter. Thought I might ninja by wearing the rounds players had byes, but injuries have killed me utterly. Meh. don't spose you get free transfers for injured players? Sure doesn't look...

Could the Kiwi's be losing Dan Carter?

Yeah close to final team assuming Kahui continues to play well. Expecting Read will come right also. SBW is a surprise, guess Kahui to fb if Mils has to come off.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

I would not say familiarity but O'Connor clearly has the skills. There is also merit to just playing Quade at 10, as it's likely to free Beale up some. Quade's tackling is poor but he can and does tackle when needed. Looking forward to three Samos! I am expecting the Irish to step up...

When the choke gets beyond a joke

Haha, call me conflicted. Like many here I have kiwi connections, but only one jersey - gold. Crazy thing is being in Victoria practically the only people I can talk rugby with are Kiwis. Hoping the Rebels will change that a bit.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Wallabies are favourites, but you can bet your last dollar they know they will need their A game. Always do vs Ireland and even more so cup time. It's going to be a right old ding-dong battle alright.

When the choke gets beyond a joke

All they have to do is win it a few times, until then every time the kiwis get cocky about how they are so much better than other countries, which is usually in the two years approaching the cup, they are gonna cop this flack. They have been favourites every cup since 87, and failed to get...

Could the Kiwi's be losing Dan Carter?

I'm a big fan of SBW, but I can't see him getting ahead of Nonu this year. Nonu is in brutal form. He might not defend as well as SBW, but his linebreaking ability is a huge facet of the AB game and he knows AB patterns backwards. A year too late for SBW I'd say. That said, if ABs do need...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Elsom is close to his best now and the Irish know better than any what that means, Pocock is Pocock and Samo is ... Samo! My read of the game atm is that the only backrow with an edge over the Wallabies is the AB backrow with Read playing. Perhaps I am guilty of being partisan. We will find...

    Springbokke vs Fiji Match thread

Come the eliminations PDivvy will risk getting lynched by SAffa fans if he doesn't put Bismarck in to start every game. Any rugby fan worth their salt wants to see that man play.

RWC 2011 - Pool B - Scotland, Romania, England, Georgia, Argentina

Don't think it compared to Cooper's silliness at all. There was no weight in Coopers; it was at best careless and lacking any ability to hurt anyone, at worst deliberate and lacking any ability to hurt anyone. Lawes was reckless to the point of begging the question it was deliberate, and...
