    Shute Shield 2019

You’re still missing the point. You’re trying to compare a professional outfit representing a state of 7 million people playing home games in a city of over 4 million with a city based amateur club competition with two teams drawing from 200 thousand people. Very quick mental arithmetic on my...

    Shute Shield 2019

I’m not particularly concerned about the GF being at Parramatta but I question whether playing in a 30,000 seat stadium is a wise move

You’re new here. You’ll get the humour eventually and perhaps not take things too seriously ✌️

    Shute Shield 2019

Brumbies drew 6,311 on Friday night. Waratahs yet to post crowd for last night. That’s code for under 10,000

    CAS 2019

The way I read things is that the CAS schools have definitely closed the gap with GPS. Some of the CAS schools lack depth but 1sts and A games are generally quite even. Shore continue to fall away on the GPS side, while Grammar and High are long gone at the top level.

You’ll find that most Joeys supporters have the same view. You left out the part where Brother Henry received his coaching manual from above

    Shute Shield 2019

Well, firstly you’re working on the assumption that the crowds posted by the Waratahs are accurate and you’re also assuming that the numerous TBA crowds that the Waratahs post are over 8000. Doubtful in at least one case. Secondly, the Waratahs have a support base covering a whole state of 7...

    Shute Shield 2019

They only played for 40 minutes. All credit to Warringah they dominated possession in the second half. Intercept try just after half time was the turning point. Should have been a Manly try, but the last pass was poor and the Warringah kid ran 95 metres to score. Warringah seemed to lift...

    Shute Shield 2019

Crowd numbers and broadcast numbers are only part of the story. It’s not a national competition it’s a city based competition . What it brings is tribalism, visibility and interest. These are what rugby in Australia lacks at the moment at the professional level . Taking it a step further, what...
