“One line of thought is that Jones may simply have been helping selection process, given his close relationship with JRFU President Masato Tsuchida, a former player & head coach of Suntory Sungoliath, now Tokyo Sungoliath, with whom Jones has had working relationship since 1997”...

I am in camp Kerevi underperforming - but I’ll give him a pass mark for all the injured guys who had to fight the clock to get back. lot of players in the wallabies this year who could of done with a full season of prep - but Rennie casual ward of 2023 had other ideas

    League Targets

I’d double down on the league targets actually - make sure signing the right guys we lost previously to NRL. We need engagement with our fans. A budding star or two wouldn’t be detrimental I don’t think… when has their been a rugby union dummy spit im taking my toys to league? Wouldn’t mind...

    League Targets

The worst thing about whenever the wallabies lose is the peanut gallery NRL media who has to give their 2 cents on a topic they know nothing about. Rothfield already stirring pot with comments that JS about to back out of his deal.

She engaged with the grass roots on personal level. In some instances When players/clubs/teams had important games or milestones - she’d attend or send a personalised message… you’d only know about this kind of stuff if your invested in the grass roots & heard of this second hand - none of the...

Yeah cause the Folau saga was her doing? & poor results have been an ongoing saga regardless of regime. I actually have my own measurements for CEO and it’s the impact of grass roots impact… castle stood out compared to the rest.

Castle was head and shoulder our best CEO.

I like the southern hemisphere style of rugby member section id rather lose looking like the Fijians then lose looking like the boring NH goal kicking numpties of north…. But yeah preference is to win so bring on the NH coach if right fit for job

    Wallabies 2023

I’m suggesting Brad as the head coach of wallabies. After Bernard I reckon he is the most experienced out of the recent super rugby options. My preference would be McKellar but he should of stayed on with the eddie staff - would be certain promotion

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Yeah no idea what type of injury - he was announced for both u20 and Eddie initial World Cup training squad

    Wallabies 2023

I know it’s an untenable situation but if the players believe in him… I’d consider keeping him. The pay packet for paying a fired coach the next 4 years would be detrimental to the grass roots

    Wallabies 2023

No he didn’t. He was a good coach who was hamstrung by a front office who refused to negotiate with the premier player agent in Australia and just continually bled the talent he developed

Lynagh injured - had he not been. Could of easily been a bolter for Eddie

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

I mean it’s essentially an all star game for the qpr competition whilst masquerading as a trial for the end of year tour. I’m a little confused how some of these teams selected. There was contracted reds on the challengers side and then club players lining up for the development side I...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Sorry I am unsure of crowd numbers but it looked empty in sunshine… maybe someone who attended could say how it looked from the new main grand stand

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Yep Tim Ryan was the standout at reds and Liam usher cameo off bench for the challengers was best. All in all it was good footy but it needs be reworked (team selections = not rules) it’s maddening you can have 10k for a grand final but then a empty stadium for what is the equivalent of the qpr...

Just curious what happened to match spoilers in this thread… I’m guessing I shouldn’t bother watching the Wales game I recorded?

I would say Cheika has succeeded at wallabies. Unfortunately succeeding came in 2015 at the World Cup and it was all downhill/hot seat until the next World Cup in 2019

Eddie denied it. If there’s smoke there’s usually fire. I don’t think the Aus media is Eddie friend so I’m sure some stuff might be sensationalised in search of the story.

Let’s start talking new coaches depending after this Wales result…. One name i would like to present Brad Thorn. I think he could be a really good coach with a good support staff and access to New Star players
