#SIRU2014 Round Two Preview: Another tough round this week in the local competition with some solid matchups in Albury, up at Young and at Beres Ellwood when Aggies take on the Blacks. It’s tough to pick a Match of the Round again this week, but I’ve opted for the Albury v CSU clash as it has...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

From what I've heard around the grounds, I would expect an even competition this year with strong competition from the front runners through to mid-table teams. There is a really positive vibe around the competition this year with plenty of off-field talk, some teams lose a few, others gain a...

#SIRU2014 ROUND ONE PREVIEW: I’ve tipped the Waratahs Albury match as Match of the Round this week, but there are some really interesting match ups across the competition this week, Temora v Young will be tough as will CSU v City and I’m sure the punters in Griffith will be keeping an eye on...

    Refereeing decisions

Great post SFR, we need more people like you involved in our game. Every referee will make mistakes, we are only human. The more people that are open to talking to the referee in a constructive manner about the game in general, the better.

Also posted this in the SIRU thread as that is where Ben Leaper was playing for the past 3 years but thought that there might be some interest over here in the Monaro thread given the recent chat about pathways for SIRU players. Goes to show that if you've got the biscuits you can make it to a...

Congrats to Ben Leaper from Ag College who has been given a run in the Brumbies team that played the touring Pampas XV yesterday in Canberra. Although this match was a friendly, the Pampas XV are the Argentinean B side and this match would have been a pretty handy standard. Goes to show that...

    S14 Merit Referee panel

All SANZAR Referees were made aware of this before the season kickoff. Appointments were only made to Round 4/5 and then SANZAR was going to appoint based on performance over the first few rounds of the competition. I think it's a good idea and allows SANZAR to develop their refereeing stocks.

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

This. So many times, I want to hear what the ref is actually asking of the players, not what the commentators think about a certain passage of play. It's also great to hear what the captains/players in close proximity to the ref are saying as well.

    MONARO COMPETITION

You would have to say that he is the exception to the rule. Didn't he grow up in western Sydney? I'd be interested to know what value you see in sending the team on tour for a week?
