Hopefully if their own supporters can already see the issues forming with Easts for 2015 then their management committee/coaches/board members etc can start working on the issues during the off season. If Prems look like they're going to be short handed next year then maybe its time to start...

    Reds 2015

I thought Matthewson's two years as an international marquee finished at the end of this season?

    Reds 2015

Sorry guys wasn't trying to imply I know of leavers was more just voicing a gut feeling. If I were to take a crack though I'd wager Frisby may be off to another Aussie team unless the Reds had wrapped him up prior to the genia injury as his stock as a starting halfback has risen in the last...

Are they? I wasn't aware of that. I know the Rebels are letting their leavers head in August, I thought other clubs would do the same.

    Reds 2015

I mentioned this over on the Premier Rugby thread that I wouldn't be surprised over the next week if we hear of a few more players who have left the Reds due to their notable absences at their respective clubs. I think most of the blokes heading over to Europe will be in cotton wool and heading...

Will be interesting to see whether anyone is able to deduce players (that we aren't aware of yet) who may be leaving the Reds due their absences at their clubs. Depending on who they've signed for some may be unavailable I'd imagine. I'm fairly sure anyone required in a European league has to...

    Reds 2014

Thats the issue with trying to find out exactly how many 'members' a team have these days. Its easy to market these one game 'memberships' where you pay an extra $5 on top of the ticket price for a lanyard and to have your name added into the same pile as those who payed for every game of the...

You might get lucky Ironingman, I'm not sure whether the full contingent will return this week but would be good. A couple of losses in a row for Premier Grade isn't a good build up to the finals. The rest of the club will surely benefit from the talent filtering back through the grades as well.

With Super Rugby season now over for the Reds it will be interesting to see which players head straight back to their clubs and who takes some time off. I'd like to see GPS give this backline a crack: 9. Tuttle 10. Johnson 11. Weier 12. Fainga'a 13. Kerevi 14. Kurindrani 15. Herbert

Tough day at the office for the Gallopers yesterday, across all grades as Red Heavy mentioned with GPS only winning Premier Reserve. Club depth was really tested with a few guys out in Prems and also a large contingent of 1st/2nd grade players away on a mid year group holiday. The boys from UQ...

TT to be honest, I think the GPS Reserve team are still looking fairly strong. They'll have the likes of Christie, McWhirter and Logan playing in the backs whom have all started a few games for Prems this year as well as younger guys like Champtaloup and Stower in the forwards who played higher...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

Its no disrespect to anyone in the Reserve grade team and most of them have played significant minutes in Prems this year, its simply a fact that 3 players are missing from GPS starting backline due to Reds commitments. I'm sure anyone who gets selected, especially out of that strong reggies...

    Reds v Waratahs, round 19 2014

I dont mind that lineup considering the players we are left with. If Gale doesn't seem to be handling himself, Lucas can easily slot into 9, Harris to 10 and any of JJ, Turner or Davies to fullback. Lots of different backline options to play with.

Very happy to see Johnson, Kuridrani and Kerevi all in the Reds 23 match day squad. Would be great if they all got on the field together. On the flip side though, another weekend with a depleted back line for GPS Premier Grade, they could be fairly light on this week depending if Zangari is...

    Reds 2015

I know its very hard to coach a player into playing a certain way, ie turning a fleet footed winger into a bullocking ball runner and the like. But maybe as well as searching for a powerful backrower the Reds should also be seeking a specialist attack forwards coach? I know Stiles is running...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

To be fair, I doubt any club would be deliberately negligent in terms of player well being. It can be hard to establish the extent of a head injury and resulting concussion until post game where the new laws (which are strongly enforced by the club) dictate the player can't play again before...

Unfortunately i'm not sure about Zangari's current status but you'd think he may not be available this week pending a clearance from the impact resulting in concussion.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

Lots of big days being crammed into these last few weeks of the regular season! I know my pockets are going to be fairly light at the end of the month with this weekends sponsors day at Yoku, big day at Crosby next week and finishing the season with a women's charity day vs Sunnybank at GPS...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2014

Sam Johnson was down at GPS training last night, hopefully means hes playing on the weekend (I'm thrilled hes in Reds contention but we need him!) Kuridrani and Kerevi both with the Reds. Expecting a big crowd on the weekend, apparently 500+ coming from corporates and sponsors alone so it will...

I think over rated is a bit harsh TT. I definitely think Tom Christie is a better half back than him and am thankful that he made the move to GPS this year but Grasso is still a Premier Grade standard player. Grasso gets a lot of hype (or did so in the past, he has been fairly quiet this year)...
