Rebels v Reds Rd 8 Good Friday 2015

Agree, Rebels scrum was dominant and then they would get penalised. Maybe it was just Slipper playing the ref better. To avoid the scrum penalty lottery they should blow for skew scrum feed and then they are at blowing a legitimate free-kick. If the ball goes into a scrum and the hooker...

Rebels v Reds Rd 8 Good Friday 2015

I agree, I thought Slipper was done over a few times. He should have been pinged for collapsing a few times. Elbow pointing downwards and then folding. Rebels still looked pedestrian and predictable. It looks like they have all the enterprise coached out of them and they play to a plan. Zzzzz

Rebels V Lions, Round 5, Friday 20 March @ AAMI Park

Rebels were too predictable. The Lions knew what was coming every time. While I applaud the lack of kicking by the Rebels it made it easy for the Lions to defend. We should have won that with a BP. At least we are playing better than last year.

Richie needs to make an effort to move out of the way.

    Rebels 2015

I have heard nothing since paying for my renewal. I have tried logging on via the portal but I cant even do that. I was speaking to a colleague who was trying to renew a few months back. It became a major procedure to do that. He compared that to his experience of buying a membership to one of...

    Pocock Arrested

So Pocock has no right as a private citizen. Its not like he was chained to a bulldozer in his Wallabies blazer. He has every right to do what he wants to in his own time. Exactly the same right that I have to protest against whatever I want to in my time. Maybe some people will only be happy...

    Scrum Talk

I was thinking of suggesting that, but thought better of it. It is beneath a prop to whinge to a ref. I was reffing a game when the prop said his opposite number was boring. I replied that he was not that interesting himself. I though it enormously funny at the time.

And looking again, gold 5 may as well have stood at fullback for all the good he was doing. No way will a THP be able to maintain form with nothing coming from behind. 7 not helping the cause either. It was a contest between 8 and 6 people.

    Scrum Talk

Firstly in law that was poorly refereed. They have bought the new engagement sequence to sort out the scrum and also the feed to make it a contest again. The ref did not manage that at all - shambles. Penalty/free kick Aus. Secondly on the scrumming side, if you are a tight head and you are...

    Pocock Arrested

Agree totally, nothing to see here. Compare that to what Beale wrote about his actions. If I recall, "Da boyz put me up to it. I thort it wud be amuzing get a larf"

    Pocock Arrested

There is no such thing as bad publicity. Or is there. What would you rather read about, a rugby player with a conscience or a rugby player sending lewd texts.

    Refereeing decisions

OK, a maul then. Its not a maul, because there are no defenders, but then the people from the oppo lineout have no right to stand around as spectators.
  18. Baldric

    Refereeing decisions

Going back to the unopposed lineout. One team jumps, get the ball and forms a maul. Ball held in the front of the "ruck". The other teams stands back and does not engage. No maul, on only one team bound. Its still a lineout as the ball has not moved beyond the of touch. That would then make...

Freaky - why is that then not a "flying wedge?"

    Ireland v Australia

I watched this game and was left thinking the laws at the breakdown were just randomly applied. The part about needing to be on your feet to play the ball and also when a tackle becomes a ruck are two laws that were applied very well. The last penalty to Ireland is a case in point. But then...
