QC (Quade Cooper) cited for knee on McCaw

Yes he does need to tone it down. QC (Quade Cooper) was having a little go at Richie in the lead up to Genia's try...imagine if a touchie had put up a flag and the try was disallowed. I am not sure why he does it... There is very little upside in baiting Richie. And doing stuff that is liable to give away...

    Shute Shield 2011

Will he still be around for the finals for Eastwood? It would be a bit of a pity for Eastwood to start losing players come the finals when some of the other sides start getting a lot of other players in. Especially with the form Eastwood have consistently shown during the season.

Wallabies Number 8 for the RWC

Another thing with Higginbotham is that if Australia goes in with a 5/2 bench he could possibly cover a back position. If nothing else, in the backs he would be allowed to throw those dodgy passes. Actually you could probably say the same with Samo

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

One interesting thing with the ref was that the way he officiated at the breakdown and his penalties for coming in at the side and not staying on your feet. He is a kiwi ref, and you would think he would referee that way in NZ - in a kiwi style. Why then, haven't some kiwi players been...

    Shute Shield 2011

At half time 22 t0 13 to Eastwood. Three tries to one. Eastwood roared away to a good start, and then Easts started making a comeback. Helped in part by the penalty count 7 to 2 in their favour.

Ouch indeed. Potentially one of the worst results ever for Knox 1sts Rugby, but well done Trinity. As for Knox, hopefully some sane heads can get to understand and correct what has happened to their 1sts this year. On paper this should have been a good side: it has descended into Greek...

    CAS Rugby 2011

That probably explains it in part. I have seen the players walk out to their warm up looking like they are performing a "pimp roll" from various characters from The Bonfire of the Vanities. They seem to be overly confident and skilled in the flashy and stylistic aspects of the game, not the...

    CAS Rugby 2011

That should be a good guide, using the 2nds, but based on that Knox should have won for the last few years and be untouchable this year. Knox seems to generate strong 2nds (often very strong), and with lots of year 11's in them, but then inexplicably lose their way once they move up to the...

    CAS Rugby 2011

The lack of 'fundamental skills', unfortunately hasn't been solely applied to the schools Rugby this year. It must just be an Australian thing - go for the flashy stuff and have little consideration for the basic skills and hard graft. Though especially at the schools and junior levels if...

I agree with 'The Chosen' in relation to a few Sportal like comments coming into this thread. I would suggest that those making them desist or go away. I also concur with the view that Knox were disappointing, but all credit to Waverley. They did what they had to, played to their strengths...

I wouldn't be surprised if the Cranbrook/ Knox game is cancelled as well. Cranbrook would be pretty much a lake as well with all this weather. Some real low scoring games I imagine.

My personal request to the Wallabies

Dear Wallabies, I will be the first to admit that I do not have your skills nor knowledge that, according to some, can be only gained by playing Super Rugby. In fact my Rugby playing claim to fame resides well in the past: back in 1983 and being part of a side that beat Joey's 16F's 73 to 0...

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

One reason for not having a Queenslander as captain, is that with the quite bad weather Queensland experienced earlier this year (in fact the weather was that bad it gave a fair few of us a tax!), the Gods may similarly inflict the Wallabies with equally dire weather wherever they next play...

    That was quick!

Speed is important? The fact that I worked on my weight and trimmed my speed was obviously the sole factor in my qualities as a ref not being recognised to their fullest. Especially those who were lucky enough to endure my efforts with the whistle: forgetting which side was kick-off after half...
