Ok. 10 mins to go. What's the betting that there's no surprises in tim Cymru

I'm sure they are working on a game plan but injuries and fitness tests will require some flexibility and I may be wrong but In my view the team announcement is round one to cheika. By delaying his announcement he forces gatlands hand to name either his first xv or one of the multiple floated...

Tim Cymru announcement set for 9pm. Time to get to woollies and back

I totally agree. Plus you're right. Gethin is the issue when it comes to scrums. Unless he's improved in a week gatland has to decide whether to sacrifice melon s work rate and mobility for a steady set piece. But then he might do that and find that the scrum is still screwed. He'll go with gethin

I miss wasshisname with the hair too. But he hasn't been great since he was dropped.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I think you are wrong. I think cheika will wanna know who gatland has picked at both 13 and 15. No surprise therefore that cheika has delayed. He wants to force gatland to go first. As noted above, to me it makes no sense to play anscombe at 15 or any of the other rumours unless you're not...

Cos why would you play a newbie who's played 10 all season in a position where Sanjay plays so well.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

That's gatlands reasoning in a nutshell. Sacrifice srummage for mobility. Would be stroke of genius if we weren't back peddling so fast

Anything in the smellygraph article re: an injury to Giteau?

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Apparently. But I am becoming increasingly cynical about this 'leek'. There seem to be multiple versions all with credible origins

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

It's obviously a ploy teams are using to try and tie him down. As long as he's making the hits I don't see the problem. Only issue is if they are running forwards at him, he's not gonna grab many turnovers.

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

I think SOB's been a standout for Ireland. Just because he hasn't had ball in hand. If the opposition isn't gonna spread the ball someone has to tackle themselves into the ground

The nadir of Welsh rugby under Gareth Jenkins has become known as the Gyppocaust. What should the current situation with England be called. Suggestions so far: Rimmering Orcageiddon Lancastergate bombercaust lancastration

Holy shit! Wales' Euro-qualifier vs Bosnia is at 4:45am straight after the rugby. No chance of them showing it in Sydney I suppose?

Finally! Tim Cymru to be announced today and even more surreal. We have a full squad (notwithstanding those who have been hospitalised) http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/rugby-union/34453000
