RWC: SAM v SAF (Birmingham): POOL B

Too many players in the SA side seem to be looking to fill the aggressive enforcer role. They could do with a few more players trying to play rugby and a few less trying to hit people, IMHO. I'd drop Burger straight away, the man is a liability at this stage. Matawira won't be excluded, for...

I fully appreciate your cynicism, CB, but WorldRugby are guaranteed their cash and the RFU have theirs because they have, to be fair to them, sold a fuck of a lot of tickets. ITV and a rake of ticket touts will lose a fortune which doesn't greatly concern me.

RWC: IRL v ROM (Wembley): POOL D

Pom is carrying a bit of a knock hence Hendo at six, but the first choice back five we saw against Canada has a great balance to it IMHO. But, apart from Hendo, Healy and Earls/ Fitz, that team is made up of second choice. Personally I would have Zebo on the left wing and Earls on the right in...

RWC: SAF v JAP (Brighton Stadium) Pool B

England is firmly in the NH but you won't find many people up here outside of England who support anyone but their opponents whoever they are playing.

The English scrum has been struggling for years. In 2013 they coughed up nearly a dozen scrum penalties against France. Weather forecast is very good but there could be a bit of dew about to make things greasy come 8 pm.

And all of them with plenty to play for. Would like to see how Furlong gets on against some gnarly old scrummagers.

I agree but he can't kick as well. He was the best player in Wales last season and a joy to watch at times. Biggar is no slouch off the tee so I/2 P loss is not so profound.

I am back to supporting Wales and watch the Welsh players week in week out in the league so know them quite well. I like Amos a lot as a player and Bandy Legs was a revelation last year after his fuck up in SA made him realise he is much better when he concentrates on playing rugby rather than...

I think Reddan and Wee Paddy should be good enough. The likes of Shane Horgan have only just stopped their ridiculous campaign to have Reddan start ahead of Murray so he should be OK!?!? I have a lot of time for Jackson and feel that he is unfortunate in that he is judged on his performances...

Pleased Amos is ahead of the Donkey. Disappointed Baldwin is starting ahead of Owens. Hope Davies doesn't do anything stupid, hope Lawes and Farrell do. I would love it if this was the game where Farrell's short fuse burnt out and he saw red.

Honest mistake, apparently. And I have just seen a Pig flying outside my window, probably trying to escape an oversexed Old Etonian.

This is not very good news for Wales. Don't know what the sanctions might be but they are bang to rights. http://www.balls.ie/rugby/wales-rules-breach/310000 http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/wales-face-world-rugby-investigation-10123231

Should be a hometown atmosphere and they don't get more hometown ref than Joubert. He doesn't want to be risking crowd trouble after all!?!?

As we saw with the Japanese blowing out of their holes after 50 minutes against a, quite frankly, average Scotland, these quick turnarounds are very tough on the weaker nations. The Ireland second team is quite strong, many of them such as Toner, Ryan, Henry, Murphy, Bowe, Zebo etc have been...

2 of them have to be on the bench anyway. Leave Murray on the bench behind break in emergency glass.

My understanding is that Romania have their stronger selection out against France today, Wednesday. I am hoping that Best, Ross, POC, POM, SOB, Heaslip, Murray, Sexton, Payne and R Kearney are rested or bench at most. Healy to start, Viscount Wonderhair to hopefully see some game time at 9.

Which combination of Orc locks would you be happiest to see, CB? For me it would be Launchbury and Lawes that AWJ and Charteris can best out intellect. The most dangerous Orc combination would be Parling and Launchbury but I can't see him leaving out Lawes. I hope Lee is fit because I would love...

It will be a massive game no doubt about that.

RWC: SCO v JAP (Kingsholm) - Pool B

You were a good deal more committed than the French at Twickenham who couldn't be bothered to make any tackles. I think you will beat Japan comfortably and have a very good chance against SA, especially if Samoa give them a bit of a fright on Saturday, which I think they will.
