Agreed. I was told that Southern lost some backing this year and didn’t have a great season.

So will this squad be the barbarians squad playing against clubs during the rwc?

All good. Like I said, I mistook this as the wallabies thread and was therefore thinking rwc.

I’m really not. I actually mistook this for wallabies thread. As dusk suggested above, Foketi may be the best option in this hypothetical situation. I can’t imagine EJ (Eddie Jones) not playing a backup 10 in a warm up game when he’s put all his eggs in the Gordon basket.

If one gets injured we bring someone in.

I have never seen Kellaway at 5/8. Big ask to play there in a World Cup. I personally think it’s Donaldson or no one as 22 in the present squad. He plays 10, 15 and kicks goals.

And the Herald. Except, of course, when he was injured.

    Wallabies 2023

From what I’ve seen (not much) Skelton is usually jumping in attacking lineouts 5-10 metres out, where the defending teams usually don’t compete so they can defend the rolling maul. To me it seemed a surprise tactic. It’s not like if our primary jumpers are getting picked off in other parts of...

    Wallabies 2023

Good question, why doesn’t Valetini jump too? Or we could go the junior rugby route, the biggest forwards toss up the smallest forward (McReight)? There’s probably a million reasons why these options aren’t done, but Skelton won’t be used much and we need a convincing third option if McReight...

    Wallabies 2023

I’d hope so. Considering he’s looking at Kemeny as wing depth I think he’s looking at fringe players that can fill more than one role. As I stated earlier, I have a memory of IFL playing wing for the Brumbies. I could be wrong on that, but might explain his inclusion over Lonergan?

    Wallabies 2023

Yes. Having Kellaway and Petaia in the backs means we get more versatility in our starters and be able to have someone with less versatility on the bench.
