Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Another thing i like about the Badger is that he covers 13. So you could afford to have both To'omua and Cooper in the 23 and exclude Kurindrani... but i really like Kurindrani so i dont really mind either way. just a thought

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

I am happy as long as the back 3 are one of Badger, Izzy, JOC (James O'Connor) & Mogg with one on the bench.

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

yeah wtf? he had a pretty average season by his standards. I thought White was probably the form aus halfy of the season

Maybe swap Kepu & Slipper as well as JOC (James O'Connor) and Folau and you've got a slick looking team

i dont know if this has been posted - but massive attitude turn around from QC (Quade Cooper) from 12months ago

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

I kind of like the idea with the argument being that whilst they're both primarily 10s they both cover 10-12-15 & that their game-styles compliment each other. I agree if there is a 6:2 split then one will have to miss out (probably To'omua unfortunately) but a 5:3 could accommodate for both: 9...

Just out of interest - does everyone agree that both Cooper and To'omua should be in 23?

what date is speight eligble ?

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Yeah you have a point, Horne would be a better bench option than Ant who doesn't offer much but really solid D. He could have Kurindrani on the bench & someone like JOC (James O'Connor) could cover 12?

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

The ones im really happy with are Foley, Fardy, Kurindrani and to a lesser extent F'Sautia. I think the case with CFS is that he is a beast in training and he just hasnt had that translate on the pitch yet. Could be more of a learning experience than anything else

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Apart from the harris over horne im pretty stoked with that squad. Realistically neither of them would make the 23 so its not that big of a deal.

wishful thinking but - SBW? off contract, currently living in aus, mates with quade, has said he misses union

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

The issue with Honey Badger, Folau & Speight is that they are all 14's. not 11's. I dont know if there is that much difference but im sure there would be something with what foot you step off and what not. Also, when Speight becomes eligible - would he compliment Folau? They are both so good...

    Crusaders v Reds Prelim 1

i find that reds and crusaders are almost polar opposite teams (if going purely on reputation). one being very new-age, young & naive, full of superstars & the other being the more traditional, more calculated and more experienced team. always a good game

    Waratahs 2014

Agreed, but the players whom Chieka has kept are, in my opinion, far more valuable than the ones he has let slide. You can see in any wallabies thread that the majority of people find Timani & Barnes overrated. Kingston never really gelled with the tahs. Mitchell is past his prime by two...

    Waratahs 2014

As a reds supporter reading this thread i am starting to get really jealous. Tahs seem to have recruited really well for 2014 and have given themselves options! Id put money on tahs finishing higher than reds next year.

    Reds 2014

I dont really want this to be the case, but more and more are we needing an x-factor player for the reds 2014 campaign... and o'connor would be going cheap. Maybe quade could help him pull his head in as he has this year, but potentially oconnor could drag him down.... its so hard because he is...
