    Reds 2022

] The NRL and the AFL produce their own material from what I understand, they both employ scores of journalists, they do a lot of the work for the various media. The round ball code as well, I imagine, to some extent.

I hate to say this, but I do not think Campbell has the potential to be a star for the Reds at any position. I have been wrong before, I hope I am this time.

Straws in the wind!! Personally I think they have managed incredibly well, considering (a) Folau and (b) the loss of the revenue from what would have been an incredibly successful inbound Irish tour, and the rest of the Covid-19 impact.

Harder grounds, too. That's what really worries me about his time with the Tahs.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Nevertheless I am pretty sure that prediction of the imminent death of the HK Sevens is a bit premature. Incidentally, I arrived in the place in 1976, just after the first ever Hong Kong Sevens was held. Admission was free on the Saturday, hardly anybody turned up. They got a couple of...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Unless things have changed an awful lot, the Hong Kong leg could sell out with domestic spectators alone. They have sold out every year since the move to the new Government Stadium (excluding 2020 and 2021 of course). For all the politics the fact remains that there are a lot of wealthy expats...

Meanwhile the PRC hosts the Winter Olympics. Is that weird? The PRC might like to see Hong Kong continue to host the HSBC Sevens. Good for business.

Donaldson is better at 10 than Harrison IMHO.

I've got more chance of hosting the Sevens in my backyard than Taiwan. Just saying.

Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) has an outside chance, so they say. Edmed should be on the bench, he is solid, makes his tackles, can play 10 or 12.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Love the food. Chinese Taipei gets a spot in the HK Sevens some years, or used to. And there is something called the Asian Rugby Championship which is usually won by Japan, naturally. I would reckon that the only chance to develop a league in Taiwan is if the corporates got involved, a la...

    Wallabies 2023

TBF he has had a rotten run of bad luck. Injury after injury, but above all the sudden loss of his father.
