Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

FFS! - Wing Julian Savea, midfielder Francis Saili and blindside Steve Luatua all limped off at various stages of the second half against Wellington in front of 6000 fans. A few highlights here -...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

30 man squad named - Benn Robinson dropped. Foley and Toumua included. Anae retained. Apparently, Mckenzie will not publically name who the 10 is until the absolute last minute Front Row Albert Anae, Ben Alexander, Saia Fainga'a, Sekope Kepu, Stephen Moore, Scott Sio, James Slipper Second...

If the Wallaby forwards are really up for smashing the ABs, and the ABs are, for whatever reason, a bit below par (an unfit Richie doesn't help, nor an out of form Woodcock), then I think the Wallabies will sneak it.

    New Zealand squad announced

I agree A Smith looked really good behind the AB pack and I agree he is the number one HB. I meant TJP should have been given some leniency because the Canes pack were pretty poor. Totally agree with you about TKB. He has been behind a dominant pack and not looked great. A good defender, but...

    New Zealand squad announced

I'm excited about TJ Perenara,Luatua and Piutau joining the squad. Luatua is a powerful player who can go hard for 80 minutes. Good in the lineout and an intelligent bloke. Number 6 has suddenly become very congested in NZ (a bit like 7 for you guys) with Messam, Luatua, Shields and now Jerome...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

One tactic (admittedly a little risky). Quade Cooper cross-field bombing for Folau to take the high kick in goal vs Savea. Play Sio for some of the game to see if can cut it

What do you make of Benji Marshal to rugby?

I heard, and this could be bullshit, that he would play at 15 with Charles Piutau moving to 13 to partner Francis Sailli now that Ranger has gone.

Mobile, but scrummaging not good enough. He is going to play for the Chiefs next year.

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

CLYDE Rathbone has made the extraordinary claim that the Brumbies should not have won the Super Rugby title because they played negative rugby throughout the year, but laid the blame squarely on the game's lawmakers...

    New Zealand squad announced

For pure wingers there is only Savea - with Frank Halai in the wider training group. However, B Smith and Piutau will do the job very well on the wing if required. Having FBs on the wing is no problem as long they can fulfill the role.

    New Zealand squad announced

One of either Mealamu or Hore would be gone now I think - but this is a position of weakness for NZ - so they are both still in the mix. Woodcock showed nothing in the Super season. He is under pressure.

    New Zealand squad announced

http://allblacks.com/news/22895/All-Blacks-squad-named-for-Investec-Rugby-Championship Piri Weepu dropped for TJ Perenara. Luatua chosen ahead of Vito. Charles Piutau for Rene Ranger (who declared himself unavailable) FORWARDS Hookers Dane Coles - Wellington / Hurricanes (6) Andrew...

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

They should have finished top, then perhaps it would have been the Chiefs doing the travelling.
