    Shute Shield 2017

Okay I have heard that at present it is same day GF & Round 1. It came across that the discussions have not been hostile, rather than working together in the Christmas spirit and still in progress. Yes, I cringe at some of the approaches communicated, i really hope its planned together with...

    Shute Shield 2017

I have said above, i don't think they should overlap - we agree. Club rugby is important - we agree. Still nobody has shown me the over lap, all i have said is lets wait and see how it plays out and then jump up and down. There are some pretty sharp tools in the shed and I'm confident we will...

    Shute Shield 2017

I've taken a particular interest in colts and the lead up to colts of recent times - u15 - u18, looking at and researching the pathway and process so we can engage in more kids playing; What you are saying - inducements in a very broad scope will hurt, how to stop, reduce, even out - no doubt at...

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

The 2 posts above was well said, possibly some very strong, fair points, articulated poorly.

Forward as well, but it makes for a great day out once the boots have been hung up and everything is possible when you play the game in your head.

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

I cringe at Papworth approach, but, believe he raises some very valid points poorly but it is important they are raised to create discussion and points raised. Your reference to Begg, I haven't heard him being as loud at Pappy, but he has been so supportive with what a group of us have been...

That's the page I'm on, at the moment - as I've said no draw yet, or show me the draw.

    Shute Shield 2017

Certainly shows me the big wigs are working for the good of Australian Rugby, they adjusted their season and even financially invested in it. I never said they shortened it because of NRC. Again, you are missing the point - you still have not shown me anything at all that has the draws...

    Shute Shield 2017

    2011 22 rounds - from 1st Apr 2012 18 rounds - from 14th Apr (split top 6 / bottom 6 - NSWRU initiative). 2013 18 rounds - from 6th April. 2013 Dec - the announcement of the NRC for 2014. 2014 18 rounds - from the 29th Mar. 2011 - 2013 - long before - you serious, & 2012 was a NSW initiative...

Lets hope Soup doesnt revert to that otherwise it will be Kiwi teams only ;) i get your point, but being in the finals also captures community support and support is good for rugby.

    Shute Shield 2017

Who is saying it is an issue, seriously get the 2017 Shute Shield draw and show me the problem / issue. I will do further research becuase this is starting to annoy me; 2011 season 22 rounds starting 1st April - cricket clearly preventing an earlier start back then to. Last 2 years of the SS...

    Shute Shield 2017

I put up a post above with regards to some start and finish dates In 2013 the SS final was the 14th Sept In 2015 tge SS finsl wa the 16th Aug Are you aware why the SS finished about a month eatlier? Have you seen the SS draw for the 2017 season yet so we can debate about a fact rather some spin

    NRC onwards and upwards

Fat fingers on phone hence short response, your train of thought is not wrong.

If only it was as easy as throwing a net.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Im going to call it media spin so my head doest do the spinning.

    NRC onwards and upwards

65% of kids go to public high school. What % of Wallabies, Super players are public high school based. Compare that to league, cricket, afl - what % of their players are drawn from the public high school system

    NRC onwards and upwards

Guys, I reckon this is spin until someone has the 2 draws to share. Sit back enjoy Christmas, and lets not alienate something, or some one, because of backbone or sphincter - it maybe a jellyfish and have neither.

    Shute Shield 2017

I would see the contribution clubs made, whilst not being forced to sign anything was a huge contributor to getting it started and enabling it to happen. If we asked the ARU to foot that bill because the likes of Vic, WA, ACT, were operating within their Super Structure what would have happened...
