Qld Premier Rugby 2012 Tipping Comp

I heard about Shannon during the week but didn't want to comment incase it was just rumour. But we have backs coming out of ears right now. Jarrad Buttler returning is a massive boost, hopefully Enever gets an early flight home from Melbourne (23rd Man) so he's fresh. Also tipped Wests for the...

Did the Chiefs coach not watch Sam Canes match against Ireland?

    IRB Sevens 2012/13

That's like the perfect holiday untill you realise you have to finish it off with a week or so in Glasgow and London.

I wouldn't say off the bench, but he should of gotten an EPS contract over UJ and Dallan Murphy in my slightly bias opinion. He definatly marshalls the team around, has a great kicking game and attacking flair. He still manages to direct traffic even when the pack is going backwards.Defensively...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

What more could you want: Welsby Cup, Brothers Ladies Day, top of the table, traditionally large crowd, the two highest performing sides and not to mention the intense rivalry. Knowing my luck I just jinxed it and itll be raining and turn into a 6-3 scrap fest!

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

Get off your high-horse mate. Higginbotham is the best 6 in the country by a mile, and that's not QLD bias, that's fact. Or if you don't believe me, how games did Higgers start this series, and how many did Dennis?

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

How anyone thinks Dennis is playing better then Higginbotham I'll never know

    Reds 2013

"McKenzie revealed the Reds had called young forwards Blake Enever and Jarrad Butler up from the national academy and into their squad to cover for the losses of Horwill and back-rower Ed Quirk (shoulder)." Taken from a news article about Beale's injury. Two potential replacements for Van...

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our forwards!

I think the Moore/Polota-Nau selection will come down to who we are playing. I know I'd prefer Moore against Argentina and South Africa's forward menaces. But Polota-Nau's dynamism is more valuable against the less forward orientated sides.

It was nearing Rum O'Clock at halftime for me!

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I'm still not sold on Horne. As some have elluded to, he will struggle having SBW, de Villiers, Steyn and Smith running in his channels at the Four Nations. Fainga'a or Ashley-Cooper will be better suited there. Apart from that I think Scotty is on the money, obviously I'd prefer Quade to be...

    S15 - Rebels V Reds

Mortlock on the wing and Gerrard at fullback? Surley they can't drop Inman. Huxley can play his last home game off the bench, it's not like he has had the same impact on the whole development on Melbourne rugby as Stirling has.

    Delve re-signs for season 2013

    Great for Melbourne Rugby

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I'd see Anakin Skywalker as somewhat of a James O'Connor or Quade Cooper, you know you're meant to like him but you just can't! I feel a Star Wars XV thread coming...... :-P

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

I don't think old Darth would have the legs to play in the backline. That being said his great knowledge of the force and his defensive execution skills (ie:killing fuckers) would be valuable in the outside channels.

That is something else that hasn't been spoken about, Wests are playing some fucking good footy and getting results, they are building a good side there. Bridging the gap.

Canada had a big crowd against Italy the other week though, good to see growth in the North America's. Two countries that need to be targeted for growth.

Easts vs University Round 9 Bottomely Park Strange but pleasent conditions greated a healthy crowd for Round 9's match of the round between two of the form heavy weights of the competition this year. Leading into the Premier game, University were looking for a clean sweep of the Tigers, given...

    Guscott's World XV

I think most of us didn't include Sharpe and Thorn because they'll be gone very soon, but you're right about Nallet and Pape. But they aren't outstanding as we have seen from locks over the past few years. Patricio Albacete has always been good for Argentina and Toulouse aswell.
