Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

I just noticed this at the bottom of Growdens article: He really needs to change the name of this column to Rumours, Lies and Half Truths. It also led me to thinking should we have a competition to see who can get the most outrageous rumour published?

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Well how about he wins by 17 tomorrow, wins by 17 next week in Wellington then gets chaired around the field, promptly retiring with an 100% record, #1 ranking and the first Bled winning coach in ten years

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

Its a bit frustrating that they still have JOC (James O'Connor) and JM Hernandez as 10s when they should be outside backs. Any thoughts on captaincy folks? Thinking about a punt on Willie Le Roux.

GAGR Pre-Bled Meetup - potentially FREE BEER

If its the central option then I'm interested, even with free beer Balmain is just a bit too far out of the way

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Does Growdens article mean that Cheika is just going back to Europe to see some old mates and will be signing an indefinite contract extension at the Tahs on his return? Oh and Inside Shoulder congrats on the fame! Did you run over that blokes dog or something?

    Waratahs 2014

Going by the Rebels website he is was a skills coach and John Muggleton was the defensive coach (both are listed as Assistant Coach but Muggleton is referenced as one of the top defense coaches in the world). Hopefully Greys appointment will take a bit of pressure of Cheika who I assume was...

What do you make of Benji Marshal to rugby?

I'm hoping for something similar, haven't seen much of him but any clips I've seen on FSN or Youtube he looks like a class act. However with his injuries mounting up and his age profile I just can't see there being a happy ending for him at the Blues.

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Can't argue with that, it probably points toward the Australian pack playing tighter more pick and drive based rugby than New Zealand. For all this talk of playing the Australian way, heads up rugby etc I think for the first 50 minutes we'll see a lot of picking and driving, mauls and forwards...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Good team if thats the one Link goes with. Lets hope Mogg brings his kicking game, wasn't too impressed with him in the latter stages of Super Rugby off the boot. Finally someone has seen sense and put JOC (James O'Connor) back out the wing, its going to be interesting watching this back 3 in attack particularly...

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

You'd also want to factor in who New Zealand would least like to face, you can't just base selection off defensive reasons. I'd probably say the back 3 that would cause the Kiwis to worry is 15. Folau, 14.JOC (James O'Connor), 11. HB. Good mix of hard running, creativity, high ball solidity and strong defense...

    Sonny Bill

Well maybe not frequently but they've possibly lost 3 of their most marketable stars this year alone, any tug of war between RL and other codes I've seen over the past few years has seen RL lose out.

    Sonny Bill

Funny that the "Greatest game in the world" seems to lose its players rather frequently when another code comes calling

    Waratahs 2014

I think he has signed for the Force, feel free to correct me one that one though

    Waratahs 2014

Fox Sports New leading with a Beale to the Tahs story, cuts to interview with KB (Kurtley Beale) confirming they are just waiting on the paperwork being finalised

    Waratahs 2014

Slow day in work, I had to entertain myself somehow I guess

    Waratahs 2014

Maybe its the cynic in me, but will we see the announcement in the days preceding the sale of the 2014 memberships? Given the silence of the RL fraternity on his future its pretty clear to me he is staying with union so perhaps the Tahs and ARU are holding back on the announcement to try and...

    Carters break

You'd have to almost right off any chance of the Crusaders winning Super Rugby next year without their general at 10, even with the power of their forward pack I'm not sure they can get enough wins outside Christchurch without him. Cruden will have 3 tests against England to show he deserves...

    Super rugby 2012 attendances

Your right about Melbourne Victory they completely slipped my mind, the two Sydney teams where 3 and 4 last season based on the regular season. Whilst it isn't the only factor it must have a significant effect on crowd figures, given the choice between Roosters, Swans and Tahs it isn't a...

    Super rugby 2012 attendances

In fairness most other teams in the competition don't have to compete with the reigning AFL premiers, the two best supported A league teams, another AFL team, 9 RL teams. The professional sports market in Sydney is saturated and I think for the Tahs to get an average of 17k given the 2012 they...
