    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) is already capped - got some game time against SA in the Championships this year. Nice to have an angry ranga in the squad.
  2. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

Reading between the lines in the RA presser today, I suspect they're both key targets. Johnson alluded as much answering the journo's questions.

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

    OK Boomer
  4. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

Now we've got a head coach, I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on the assistants. I'd go with: Dave Rennie (Head Coach) Matt Taylor (Defence) Scott Wisemantle (Attack) Laurie Fisher (Forwards) Mick Byrne (Skills) Haydn Masters (Strength and Conditioning)
  5. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

But alas, that didn't mean Rennie was a lay-down mesire
  6. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

6 minute video of Rennie talking about the appointment. Some key take aways include Rennie wanting 'to bring back' a number of senior assistants 'with a strong Australian flavour' into the coaching group - perhaps indicating they're targeting guys like Wisemantle. Also some positive comments...
  7. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallabies 2020

Mark Nawaqanitawase has a surname to give anyone an aneurysm
  8. Try-ranosaurus Rex

    Wallabies 2020

With an eye on the future, is anyone else going to be super confused if Will Harrison, Harry Wilson and Will Harris all become wallabies?
  9. Try-ranosaurus Rex

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Almost. One and a half. He had 9 appearances in 2018, mainly off the bench and on the wing.
  10. Try-ranosaurus Rex

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I guess he has more experience at 13 than JOC (James O'Connor)... which isn't saying much (i guess it's his favoured position too, unlike JOC (James O'Connor)). Petaia vs Tuilagi is a mouthwatering match-up in this game. I just hope the pup is going to show the old dog some new tricks.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

    QUACK QUACK QUACK
  12. Try-ranosaurus Rex

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Beale fail the HIA. He was in la-la-land.
  13. Try-ranosaurus Rex

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Fox Sports is reporting this team, only with the Solokaia-Loto in for Dempsey - which makes sense as the bigger body may make more of an impact as a finisher.
  14. Try-ranosaurus Rex

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Care to explain why it's dumb? As in throwing a lamb into a Lion's den? I actually think it's a well considered selection. We're not going to win this game without taking some measured risks. I know it's only Super Rugby, but in the limited time Petaia and Kerevi had to show their wares...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

I think we'll find that this has been the coaching group's plan all along. We've got to throw everything at the soap dodgers, and we need the combinations firing.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

He certainly hasn't used it too much at soup / NRC given he's been mainly used in the centres. Would be a pleasant surprise if he did!

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

So could we viably end up with 4 centres on the field in: 10. To'omua 12. Kerevi 13. JOC (James O'Connor) 14. Petaia Would be interesting to see. I'm not sold on 11. Koro 14. Petaia & 15. DHP.... Only one boot between them.
  18. Try-ranosaurus Rex

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

I don't see Cheiks taking 7 props into camp - I'd ay there'd be 8 with 4 hookers. That's two contestable scrums side by side. Otherwise I agree with the make up of the squad. For me: LH Props: Slipper, Sio, Robinson, Smith TH Props: Kepu, Holmes, Alo-Emile, Alexander Hookers: Moore, TPN...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Alright, everyone seems to be giving their 31 man squads a crack... so I might as well join the party. Here is my 31 man squad based on a combination of current Super XV form and what they have delivered in gold in the past. Forwards: Loosehead: (1) Slipper and (2) Sio Hooker: (3) Moore, (4)...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

You're comparing apples with oranges though... All three (if fit - touch wood) will make the 31 for the RWC. Who will make the game day 23 comes down to the tactics Cheiks wants to employ... not simply because player A has more impact than player B. It also depends on how you define "more...
