essentially agreeing with you. The rest was a general question then of why have a major rugby competition like the Waratah shield into which sports highs which are often more league than union allowed to enter

I agree. What would you do to the sports highs? Should they not play Waratah shield?

A bit confused about things between rugby and league. Does the didvide go that deep? I presume if the kid mentioned above played basketball at a rep level he would not be excluded from rugby reps? If he is the best then he should get all the honours available

So lets exclude league players. Then lets exclude schools like St Gregs that has league in the school. All very narrow minded. They are kids looking to play elite football

Didn't Auggies score more points than Joeys in their last two outings? 45 points put on Scots so my money would be with Joeys if I were a betting person.

"It is also not the responsibility of the rep program to strengthen the competition, this lies with the schools. Improve your programs and quality of coaching and see if that brings better results." no9 point is very relevant. Schools can vary at times with the talent pool available but a...

Have Auggies not played Joeys over the past few years in trials? Are they playing this year or have Scots take on that slot?

I suspect that Auggies has some SG Ball players who didn't play either as Manly doing very well in that comp for a change and played that weekend.

    A very tacky development

Just a question about the logos on socks etc that are the brand of the provider which the school has paid for eg Canterbury jumpers. Should all gear purchased by a school be completely clean except for the school emblem?

Agree with Ryan09. Auggies won Waratah shield against Hills with team made up of mostly year 10 and 11 players due to heavy injury toll. No Rhys Dom or Natoli etc on that day when all thought, including me, that they would go down . Natoli back in 2012

    Schoolboy TV coverage

Excellent idea to promote the game. The muggoes have been doing this for years with Commonwealth bank cup Arrive alive etc. Perhaps the best vehicle here would be the Waratah Shield. At present held on a week day with very limited coverage or promotion. Some higher up assistance to the valiant...

Iluvmyfooty said: ↑ St Augustines 40 - Waverley 12 very good performance from Auggies. They have lost nothing from previous years. Strong games from 6,7,8 and 13 with the 12 being the best player on the park. Thought the big prop from Waverley (number 1) was very strong. I heard that there...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

We have a never ending circle of discussion on this scholarship issue. Bite the bullit and let everyone have X number on scholarship. Open books to audit anyone over the odds would have a penalty e.g. Premiership removed, game point taken, you get the drift. However, with Principals and boards...
