Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Tomikin, I have passed your message on to Dave Carter, to convey to Sam!

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I regard myself as a realist. I therefore suggest the following: There are two teams of similar ability involved in this match. They will both be playing on the same field under the same weather conditions, (and hopefully), under the same refereeing conditions. So what will separate them, (other...

RWC: FIJ v WAL (Millenium): POOL A

I am very happy for our "Wales-aby" friends on G&GR! I look forward to next week's match, when I wont be so keen on "sharing the love"!

Quick Hands, I have to agree with you, given that 14 months ago I predicted a Wallabies v Ireland final, and two months ago, backed our boys to receive $90 from a $10 investment!

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I posed this question several days ago, however, no one chose to reply. Perhaps someone will, now that we know both teams and both benches: "We have seen plenty of comparisons between both forward packs, but how do our backs compare to the English backs, and ditto for the bench"?! My opinion...

I'm happy with the 23, although I would have been even more-so, (for obvious reasons), if Sam Carter was on the bench. When we beat England, he and a few other fringe players, may get to play against Wales.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

The English would have us believe that with their forwards dominating, our backs will never get the ball except when they kick it downtown to us. Therefore the only reason to replace our backs would be if they showed signs of muscle stiffness, and symptoms of pneumonia!!

That's assuming it becomes a 5:3 bench. Is there any likelihood Cheika will go for a 6:2 bench for this match?

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

The Wallabies official website (under "player profiles"), still shows Palu and Skelton as being in the squad. I hope the players are more 'on the ball' when they take the field!

They must think Matt Dunning is still playing!

That's one show I would love to see BR, having been a huge fan of The Four Seasons!!

I think it was one of Cardiffblue's posts, further back on this thread, that contained several photos of the English team. One photo showed several forwards, which caused me to question as to whether their "look" was due to jerseys that were two sizes too small, or from a course of Anabolic...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Irrespective of whether, or when Carter and Hanson get a run, we must all be thankful that, (as emotional and traumatic as their injuries are), neither Palu or Skelton are lying in a hospital bed with a tube in the nose, or in traction with no feeling in the lower body.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

You obviously weren't watching ABC TV Midday news today, and Fox sports, and Facebook, which all had a segment on Sam Carter, including handshakes with his team mates when he arrived at training in London, and comments by Cheika including "he was almost first choice before he was injured"! Time...

Show some respect, Cardiffblue, it's Mr Doug!!

Suddenly some wisdom is being produced on this thread!! Sometimes it's not a good thing to have a good memory, as I remember not so long ago, many of you who now want Horwill in the squad, were lambasting him, and saying he was no longer up to it, and should never wear the green and gold...

Like many others here, Mrs D and I reckon it's going to be a very long week, waiting for this match!

RWC: ENG v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A

I'm expecting to hear of a major sponsorship deal between England Rugby, and the VW Auto Group. It would be a good fit, given that both organisations have recently been accused of "performing below expectations"!

RWC: ENG v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A

Yes, Blue, it was only because of work commitments back in the accounts dept. at the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort!

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Much has been said about our scrum verses theirs. How do our backs compare to theirs, re speed, and overall ability, plus how do the "benches" compare?
