There has to be another angle. He took the plea. .

Latu is the loosest of cannons, surely this marks his card for the World Cup.

    Round 2 - Sunwolves vs Waratahs @ 3.15pm AEDST

Imagine the Tahs backs behind the Brumbies pack. Hard to do much when you have no go-forward or set piece to speak of. I'm not too worried yet, as it's a long season and history tells us the Wallabies blokes don't hit their stride until 4-6 weeks in. But once again what we know to be true...

The thing about Hanigan was that we all knew he'd be good once he was big enough. Had the motor, had the skills, just not the size. Now he looks much bigger, and shock horror he actually looks good. The jackal turnover was a beauty that might have saved a try. He's still young and I'm really...

Meh, it's Richard Hinds. He's never been a fan of rugby, and his general cynicism grates me to the extent I don't read, listen or watch him at all really. He's a man who can find a negative in anything and everything. The evidence of week one was enough to suggest the stocks haven't fallen...

We would have won with Newsome at 12 instead of Hunt? Now that's a scorching hot take and Tatsy, I'm here for it. I think you're mad, but keep it coming. .

The NZ teams have pretty distinct identities too, Tattsy. I actually think that's something we should encourage.

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Plenty of game playing went on with that (few details in this article). If anything, the NZ guys didn't play at all. Really it just came back to NZ winning five of the last six cups, and being the most dominant team of the world in that time. Hard to play enough games to get around that. .

I see no reason he shouldn't be allowed to play for Kings. The Australian Schoolboys may be a different story, though. There's an argument to be made that a spot in that side should be reserved for people who want a future in the game. Though you also want the best 15 on the field, regardless...

Yeah you can choose your comms on league pass. I have a deal that gives me 10 games a month for $14. But they let it pile up, so I've got 45 games in the bank at the moment, so I'm well covered once the playoffs start. .

I think there's a broader point here. I'm repeating myself here, but I do think the problem is not necessarily the individuals, but the whole model that most Australian sports have adopted. It's a reliance on TV revenue (actually, a desperation for revenue in general) which means the game...

Jeez I don't know, the kid is 15. If people have issues giving a four-year contract to Israel Folau, I can imagine what might happen if we sign a 15-year old on a four year deal....... .

In other news, the Rabbitohs have pinched one of our best juniors, Joseph Sua'ali'i: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/02/12/rabbitohs-sign-young-talent-from-rugby-union-ranks/

You get the NBA games they broadcast that day on ESPN. Not sure how long they stay up for, but it's a few days at least- watched the Sixers/Lakers game after work last night. I'd imagine it's the Fox comms on the Super games. .

I signed up this weekend, and have it on Apple TV. I'm really impressed so far, I like the format and the 'no spoiler' option. Great to have the replays of the US sports as well, which you can't find on Foxtel Go. .

You could say the same for Matt To'omua, but it didn't stop him from leaving. With short career windows and big $$$ on offer O/S, I don't think you can assume anything about what people will and won't do. .

There's not much you can do. The stuff in Queensland last year will definitely hurt junior numbers this year, even though they were all fluke injuries. It's why the sevens/touch formats are so important to develop, so there's an alternative to 15s that also acts as a gateway for those who...

Agree totally. If Gibson gets the pack firing, we've easily got enough firepower to handle the Rebels and Brumbies. It's a big 'if' though. .

Also sets him up for a tilt at the Wallabies gig post World Cup. "Don't blame me guys, I had nothing to do with it".

    Proposed Nations Championship

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/world-league-picks-up-steam-after-very-constructive-talks-20190130-p50uis.html Seems to be gathering momentum. The more I read about it, the more comfortable I am with the concept. While I do like the three-test series against NH opposition, the World...
