    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

Is it just I who have noticed that the crowds for First XV games have diminished due to the layout of the new competition? Schools are playing upwards of 8 different schools each week, resulting in an overwhelming amount not playing where the firsts are, and consequently a much smaller crowd...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

My bad. Yet if this is the behaviour seen from the elected leader of the side, what is there to expect from the others.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

The coaches are well within their rights to vent their frustration at an unjust call. It happens from both sides every game, and definitely shouldn't be seen as the instigator or catalyst to a boy copping a beating at the end of the match.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

The focus shouldn't be on the steps of intervention - for the safety of their respective teams - the coaches took, rather the acts of the players in the new side. Right from the kickoff the team had an appalling manner in which they conducted themselves, an outside back sin-binned for blatant...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

Coaches of both teams went onto the field, but it was the New MIC who called game off - perhaps he thought the worst was yet to come

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

For Riverview 2nds 5/8 Jim Lance makes his return from a hip flexor injury. He has been in fine form this season and will be an interesting face up against opposing 10 Shipsey making his debut, both able to make or break the game. Seems an intriguing move in the firsts backline to cater for...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

Agree with random2 Joeys and View have been fighting it out in that age group since the dawn of time, up until the 16's Riverview had only lost 1 game since year 5!. 2014 Predictions 1. Riverview - 10 returning from 2013 First XV. Like Shore however, will be missing key players in Whiteley and...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

I believe it is up to the respective school to take action on the matter. However, considering Kings started the fight at the end of the game, reporting the headbutt could see their own player suspended from the incident minutes earlier, as well as the Riverview player. Similar case occurred...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

Riverview 22 - Kings 10 Frustrating game out at Paramatta for both sides. Drop ball from Kings eventuated in their loss, coupled with a consistently strong attack from the View backs. Kings saw hope late second half where View's 13 Hutchison was binned for a dangerous tackle, putting on a try...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

I really disagree with this, especially regards to Shore. I believe they only won 2 games throughout all ages in the Joeys round. While Joeys seem to be slightly above the pack in all-age depth, Kings, View, Scots are always in high contest, consistently winning the majority of games over Shore...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

The 16A's have 5 missing this year, and upwards of 8 last year where they were only managed to secure a draw against Grammar. Its a shame, really skewing the competition against those that place players up for talent/development like View and Shore have done in particular.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2013

I think because of the nature of the schoolboy tour this year - To England, Wales, Ireland etc. - the 5/8 selected will have to have a strong kicking game, it won't be enough to rely on Kellaway and Jones for on-field kicking, especially in the wet conditions. Saw Mitch Third for QLD play...

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2013

Second Field is used during the finals for the Division 2 playoffs - NT, TAS, LMRDT, SA. Seems a bit unfortunate for players in those teams unable to be properly showcased to selectors games on First Field are on at the same time.

From memory Matthew Sandell was selected as GPS 3rds reserve in 2011. Is Kellaway perhaps the first ever to make GPS 1sts for 3 years?

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2013

I'd have Hutchison at wing in front of Robinson, or even into outside centre and Taane at wing. The kid is an absolute machine, doesn't miss tackles and breaks the line at every single touch. Scrumhalf Mike Kennedy dominated Lussick when New played View and as I've said before, Lussick...
