I think the plan with the domestic only comp would be to have a tournament end of season against the kiwi sides - to then crown Tasman champion. so I still suspect kiwis would support blues canes etc.

The plan is pretty much the NRC comp. The NRC is a twice failed 3rd tier comp. I bet those broadcasters are chomping at the bit at this proposal.
