    The Tuesday Top Five

You could argue either way and probably the right answer is there was a missing condition for it to be one or the other.

He was a full squad member for 2 years - 2009 and 2010.

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

I understand your point but I think Aust U20s is all but a professional environment. Many of the players are playing super rugby or in the wider training squads.

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

I understand your intentions here but I think we should consider whether this is effectively creating guidelines that you can only post information if you are not 100% certain of its truth ie speculation is allowed but fact is not.

It wasn't a "quick throw". It was a "quick lineout". The issue of the ball boy touching the ball is not relevant. Only whether the conditions of a normal lineout were met - 2 from each team, went 5m, straight etc.

The rule is that play cannot resume until 30 mins after the last lightning. There then must be sufficient time and light to complete the match.

Yes, I know this. The TMO can be used for: 1. A potential infringement by a try scoring team. 2. Review potential acts of foul play In the Hoffman situation, it would have been outside of protocol to check replay footage when the ball went into touch. Personally I am very comfortable with...

    Shute Shield 2015

The 2nd half rule is an interesting one. My suspicion is that more often than not it will be unfair on the team that is winning the called off game that they need to start again in a replay than that the losing side has missed the opportunity to come back from behind. Re the mercy rule, it...

    Shute Shield 2015

I am not sure I am answering the intent of your question but it is a competition rule that if a game is called off in the second half, then the score stands and the team leading is declared the winner.

    The Tuesday Top Five

Because it is outside TMO protocol.

    Shute Shield 2015

After 4 rounds, Souths and Eastwood look the teams to beat. IMO, Manly are not looking as good as last year despite their 4 wins to start the year. I feel their pack is not as dominant - has the loss of Peterson actually been more significant than expected, their scrum hasn't seemed to be an...

    Waratahs 2015

Any breach of this section of the Code would be subjective. IMO Cheika did not "impair public confidence in the honest and orderly conduct of a match" My suspicion is that this wording is actually related to match fixing.

    Waratahs 2015

The relationship between captains and referees is a convention of the game and nothing to do with 6A7 which is purely dealing with allowing the referee to be advised by ARs and TMOs. If players or captains are penalised or cited for their interaction with the referee, it is an offence under Law...

    Waratahs 2015

It's a competition rule not a Law of the Game. However they decided that the breach of the competition rule did not constitute a Code of Conduct violation.
