I wanted to ask about what was happening at Penrith. I had noticed that their 1st Colts team has had some good results against quality teams eg only 20 point loss to Uni particularly at a time of year when they often fall away. What's been the success story this year? Are there players that...

Did it prevent a potential quick throw or a likely quick throw? IIRC it wasn't likely and IMO a penalty would have been officious refereeing. However I did like the NRC rule that made it clear that anyone from the sideline team doing this would bring a Penalty.

It is a delicate issue. The more punitive the measures that are taken, the more chance there is that clubs will put unsuitable or untrained players into the front row. When this happens, there is more potential for a serious injury.

How would you achieve this? Scrapping the NRC?

I believe the rationale for this ruling is the following - 1st and 2nd Grade qualify for Week 1 of the finals. A player has qualified for 1st Grade but not 2nd Grade. He is selected in 2nd Grade under the adjacent teams rule. Effectively at that time at that Club, he is a genuine 2nd Grade...
