    Rebels 2022

The annual turnover is a major problem for the Rebels. Compared to the Reds & Brumbies, we welcome and farewell so many, each year. Stability is depserately required but need to sell them on a new project.

I'm all for players getting an opportunity to play either Dewar Shield or to telegraph into another competition interstate rather than just train, but let's just remember that (a) Shute Shield & Hospital Cup literally started last weekend, so it's not like they missed weeks and weeks and (b)...

Rahboni is BPA's brother-in-law, wonder if it might impact on his decision to return to Aus after his Montpellier contract and represent the national team together? Obviously putting the cart before the horse etc...

Interesting to read about the overall competition reduced salary cap in 2022. That hasn't been reported elsewhere, and with the CBA expiring this year, is a fascinating development/concession by the players

    Rebels 2021

Yep. Took a couple of those another 12 months to come on from 2014, but plenty to like about it and they did get some good results in that (one in Christchurch I particularly enjoyed in '15)

2014 just shades it for mine - but definitely very exciting and love the 3 x homegrown players

    Aussie Player Exodus

Riley, Gunter and Cornelson didn't get professional deals here. They did get them in Japan, and whether or not AU teams have tried to bring them home, they've made homes there and bought into the culture. Good for them I say

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Mehrtens, Maloney & Morgs last night were comfortably the best commentary trio I think I have heard in Aussie Rugby. Perfect balance of presentation & showmanship, actual knowledge of both the players and the sport itself, impartiality (calling out referee in respectful way one minute...

Great to hear @Swingpass. Besides Anderson, who else is definitely in the sick bay? Did Isi train?

Good yarn in The Aus about Jeral Skelton playing in the centres moving forward... What was the crowd like on Friday?

Plenty on less than 80k - EPS (or whatever it's called these days) is 45k

Anybody watch the Giltinis win? Very curious to hear how they played with the number of Aussies in their team

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

To those heading along to the Stockade tonight, bloody well enjoy it. You've had to wait so long - you deserve it. Carn Rebs!

Let it go Reg, you're sounding like a jilted ex and I can't imagine the people on either side of this argument having their opinions changed, myself included.

Nailed it. Can't be bothered writing an essay, but footy players have a responsibility to look out for number 1 and the COVID wage reduction further reduced what he could earn in comparison with playing abroad. Additionally to that, he obviously wasn't particularly happy at the Reds. One...

Geez some Reds fan are salty... bloke did plenty of good things in a red jersey, and looked out for number 1 with a financial opportunity that was good to resist. Do not blame him one bit, it's a short career. How is what he did any different to say Samu Kerevi or Tim Horan going overseas - or BPA?
