I cant see how they are liable for anymore than their share of his salary. They were liable for that before this blew up. It’s RA that have terminated him, it’s they that would be liable for any damages he might be awarded for his loss of income from other sources.

    RD 16: Rebels v Tahs

I agree that should be the philosophy, for everything other than rolling mauls. They should get rid of them, they are a blight on the game!

^^^^That was the dumbest thing we’ll see this weekend......

    The Israel Folau saga

Again, he was punted because when it was pointed out how offensive it was to some, he both refused to take it down, or give an undertaking not to repeat it.

    Shute Shield 2019

You’re original point was that the Tahs outdrew the derby, as if that somehow validated the poor crowds the Tahs draw these days. Rats regularly draw 000’s on home games, which is a multiple of 10 of what they were drawing a decade ago. In comparison, the Tahs would regularly draw 30k in those...

If the Tahs can’t attract 4 or 5 times what a local amateur team can attract, then they have massive problems. But kudos to the Tahs for attracting enough through the gate to pay one of their lower/mid tier players wage for the season...... As an aside,if the local grassroots wasn’t so strong...

We were absolutely towelled up in the final, but when Fiji are hot they can do that to anyone. Our best tournament this season by panels.

I signed up on 14 day trial. Seems like a better option than foxtel if you have a reliable internet service.

You can look at it through the prism, that this derby is an isolated event, thus there is fuck all interest in the SS generally. Or you can look at it through the prism, that in this pissy little comp, where a former CEO, declared giving them any money would be pissing it up against a wall. in...

And your ignoring the passion in the joint. I literally couldn’t speak on the phone mid game cos it was too noisy. At the Tahs games most of the chat is about the crosswords they are doing,to keep them occupied during the game.

That’s just bizarre. Spend the equivalent of a DO on one team in one school? Then consider the resentment from pretty much every other School in the land...... I don’t think so.

I think we are broadly in agreement . It will be interesting to see how things pan out sans Pappa.

By treated differently, it was outside the Rugby program, not by coaches. Little things like not abiding with uniform standards, because they thought those rules didn’t apply to them.

I’m not sure that’s right. My insight is 4th hand, so maybe I shouldn’t have even commented. It was explained to me that the earliest scholarship recipients understood they were getting a leg up, and immersed themselves in many co curricular activities. More recent recipients thought it entitled...
