http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rugby-union/marathon-hearing-clears-lion-cian-healy-of-biting/story-e6frg7o6-1226659379892 The fact that it was such a long hearing suggests that they obviously looked at all the evidence closely and still came up with nothing. Great news. Fingers...

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

They appear to be trying out a procedure for managing concussions at the Junior World Cup. The referee or medical professional can ask a player who has received a head clash, be removed from the field for five minutes for a full assessment to be carried out by a doctor. You can see the feature...

Force vs B&I Lions - Wed. 5 Jun

You make some really good points HW&C. I also believe that the ARU didn't get the Super Rugby fixtures they wanted to accommodate the tour as NZ&SA had different ideas. But whatever the rights and wrongs of it all and who's to blame, it has resulted in a media disaster for the Force and their...

I'm a big fan of toothpick so I would definitely like to see him start. One thing I would say is, it's going to be difficult to judge performances as the Reds will be a completely different proposition. Heaslip was fantastic last night but would he have stood out as much against a better defense?

Was it when Stubbs got carded? Nothing in that. The citing commissioner will be having a very short meeting before dinner.

I actually thought, for a change, Croft did get through a mountain of work and was solid in defense around the ruck. I would like to see SOB at 6 before the tests start though. I didn't think about Faletau at six. The 'Great Leader' will be fit for Saturday I wonder.

And the loosies? I thought Heaslip was outstanding last night and both Croft and SOB were good too. I would probably go with Croft, Toothpick & Heaslip.

Grant should have gone in the first place. But having said that, I would have had Vunipola behind Grant and Corbisiero and thus far (and I have to qualify it), he has proven me wrong. They are all along way behind Healy though.

Healy might get given a few weeks to recover anyway...he's been cited for biting. Didn't see anything myself on the replays they showed though.

Well I'm just saying that if I wanted another 10, then I wouldn't pick someone who has never played in that position for his country, hasn't started a test for a while, has little test match experience and no big match experience. You obviously have a lot of faith in him and his talent and you...

A few on hear were predicting that Castro would smash Vunipola in the scrum at the weekend. Well that didn't happen and in fact, Vunipola looked pretty strong. Which got me thinking about his performance and the performance of the scrum over all. Jones was superb and thats a pretty good...

Surely it depends on what he is looking for? If he wants a third flyhalf you would suggest that he should choose a two test rookie, who doesn't even play regularly in that position for his province, over a World Champion and current European Player of the Year? I think I'm going to need a pair...

Drew Mitchell might agree with you on Cheika and continuing the Aussie line, Bob Dwyer would have to be the founding member.

Hang on a minute, where have I said that you can't comment on here unless it's based on published fact or a fully endorsed verified comment??? I never said that so please don't suggest I said something that I didn't. Second of all, I haven't pretended that I believe in Gatland. I never said...
