    Southern Inland Rugby 2013

Over the years many many good players have graced the starting line ups of plenty of our clubs with varrious levels of success. The best thing we can do for Rugby in the bush is try to convert their stored game knowledge into our 14 to 17 year old kids. This is where it is most needed. Yes I am...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2013

@ Ted ... To be a 3rd Tier team it would mean 3 trainings per week at minimum plus 25+ 1st grade fit and ready Dent Cup or Shute Shield level players. The time availability for trainings would be almost impossible unless everyone lived in the same town without considering the game time schedule...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2013

I think that you are dead right. The only thing I would add is to get yourself prepared (physically) before you go because you will be in for a big shock when you turn up and see the speed/size of the better players in the U 20's and 1's & 2's that you must compete with to get a start.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2013

I could count the "Dead set mistakes" that Albury made in the 80 minutes on one hand. Very comprehensive and have a great attitude towards the game and its execution. Great to see one team not "gobbing off" at the Ref and keeping composed. Will be very difficult for any team to come close unless...

The Relationship Between the Schools, the Clubs, the Unions and the ARU

Hmmm..... We all talk the same language even though it is obvious we come from quite different demographics in society and Rugbyland. We all come to the same conclussion. Do we ALL have to go Sydney ,find the appropriate ARU person , drag him to someones garage and put his fingers in a bench...

    Australian Junior Rugby Union

Anyone who has ever been involved in their childrens sport at any level beyond the park level have been forced into the reality that there has GENERALLY been hidden motives for the promotion of various pathways. Justification for pathways CAN be more to do with maintaining the funding or...

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

Rugby wont die as it has always had an appeal to all sections of the community, the purists, the disenfrancised from mungo & afl, the GPS crowd, the Uni students, the proffesionals, the Armed services, the amatuers and people who just accidentally found themselves playing it because they didn't...

    Retiring from Rugby

Very hard decisions can often leave emotional scars that can hurt more than the physical ones left behind after the years of playing. My advice to all is just do your best while you can and dont stop trying. Dont look for excuses but give yourself a goal or time line.5 seasons ago I set a goal...

Selection politics and bias, Gold Squads unfairness etc.

@quickhands.... The ARU policy is called the "2 year window policy" and it may well seem quite simple for # 6 to 15 ,but, read carefully as # 1 to 5 have another paper to be filled out and another set of criteria to be met. It is quite detailed if done correctly.... As for anyone who complains...
