This is always going to be the issue with expanding the club comp. If you bought in two regional sides as first grade only, or first, second and firsts colts you could have the lower grades from the two Sydney sides scheduled to play the regional sides play each other. Not a perfect solution...

I don't think they have the option to let a franchise go under without replacing it due to the broadcast deals, and depending upon when it happens most likely with a team in the same city due to fixturing and travel arrangements. At that point they probably have to find the most economical...

The only person who has gone on public record on this is the guy who could have sold it to the ARU and he has said it wasn't for sale to them. The bagging of the Rebels from WA including all the crap that was flung during the period where both teams were on the block is giving me the shits...
