    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

That's the temperament angle. His hands issues come from trying to push things too much. He needs to concentrate on making better decisions in contact.

Foketi got better as the tournament went on. I think Pollard performed well. Most pleasing was pretty accurate at the lineout which is something our recent crop seem to have struggled with.

On the two occasions I mentioned the wrap around pass was designed to come from Uru himself. He actually held the ball up from the binding player on purpose for that exact reason. From the looks of it the intent was to draw the Tongan pack into thinking that we were actually forming the maul by...

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Did you miss the two lineouts where he dropped the ball on top of the binding player looking to offload for the wrap around? Also, my issues with his play as above extend beyond the set piece.

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Agree on the first three while Donaldson still needs more time.
  6. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

He's not. But the thing is his scrummaging was actually something he held up quite well against a bigger pack behind a small front row. That's actually a really tough thing to do. The problem was that his involvements in the open which aren't overly different from his game as a loosie were too...

Just not an international level player. At least not yet.
  8. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Okay then. A few examples. His first involvement in the game saw him lay there making no effort to get out of the ruck when he clearly could have. Resulting in a penalty and Tonga rolling it in from the 5m lineout via the maul. On one of our first attacking raids into the Tongan 22m after a nice...

That may be the case but you weren't wrong.

I agree. The Aus A program has been something we have desperately needed to bring back for some time. I'm happy to see it return. Hopefully they can build out a solid November schedule as well.

Right. What happened to Archer Holz?
  12. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

They did. But without those players and arguably even with them they didn't pose the threat they promised. If not for errors on our behalf marching them down field and into those position the score would have been a lot uglier for them as at no stage did it look like they'll break out.
  13. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Who is the Aus A 18? Barely jogging back despite only being on the field for 25 minutes.
  14. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Campbell has had a better game. Donaldson not so much.
  15. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

And now we have Lose with the excuses.
  16. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

It's the only threat they've had. The 5m rolling maul.
  17. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

That's why I called him an insufferable twat.

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

A big criticism of the Aus A defence. Too much arm grabbing. Near the sideline the Tongan wing was perilously close and Sinclair could have driven him into touch with a solid hit. But nope. Let him fight his way back in field.
  19. WorkingClassRugger

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

What the hell was that. Donaldson had the time and opportunity to catch that on the full and backed out in case of the contact.

    Tonga v A: 16th July 10:00am

Uru had a lot of involvements with very few being positive.
