RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Happy to eat my hat on this but.... this could be the first World Cup where we don't actually play one good game. Everything has been highly underwhelming thus far and the weekend's selections (Beale, Petaia) are so mindless that we appear to be set for an almighty implosion. England by 20+.

    RWC Week 4 matches

I like the analogy. I also like that in the analogy Hansen (The Emperor) ends up falling to his doom and the All Blacks (The Empire) implode. I'm going to add to it by casting Gary Ringrose, Bundee Aki and Jonny Sexton as ewoks.

    RWC Week 4 matches

So with an NZ v Ireland quarter final, will the Irish quarter final curse continue, or is this the year they break it and do everyone else a favour in the process?

    RWC 2019 Japan vs Scotland

Japan play rugby the way its meant to be played.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

Is it just me, or does the offside line seem pretty loose?

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

When you are up by over 40 points, stop complaining about the ref.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

I remember back in the day Brett Sheehan kicking perfectly timed short box kicks down the blind wing for Nick Cummins to absolutely nail someone on. Half the time it would end in returned possession due to knock on or opposition in touch. Don't know why we never try it.

    Western Force 2019

I'm surprised Burton isn't considering coming back to Aus. Not a lot of playmakers going around these days. Maybe his body is crocked...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

Yes, sorry, I should have clarified that I meant from static ball.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

You have to ask, at what point does it become insanity to persist with the width strategy with the out the back passing? I don't recall it working, ever. It seems that opposition are so aware of it, they embarrass us in their defense of it. The only two possibilities where it doesn't seem insane...

RWC Week 2 - thread for matches without a match thread*

Do they have a postal system in the Pitcairns or do you just put the letter in a bottle, tie the bottle to a turtle, and hope it swims in the direction of civilisation?

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

Because chasers will be tired and apply less pressure giving Beale a better chance at success? I'd hope we are holding the ball enough that high balls are few and far between in the last 20.

    Refereeing decisions

Personally, I only comment on the games I see. Any examples you'd care to name? I never had a problem with Sekope Kepu's red card (which had nothing to do with his ethnicity either for that matter) against Scotland a few years back. I think it was absolutely on the money and it is clear play is...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

I know he hasn't kicked in a while, but JOC (James O'Connor) was always a reasonable kicker back when. Reckon he must have been close to 80% in Super Rugby.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Although it would be quite detrimental to the current Wallabies, I'd like a mark to be able to be taken from anywhere on the field. It might stop the incessant box kicking stodge of some teams.
