Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Can anyone else not stand Brendan Cannons commentary in the media. He has had some shit things to say over the years post playing. The Link picking Beale due to league being the most recent.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Just reading from where I left the thread. I never debated who was a superior player just stated that you should have stuck with your original sentence that it was futile to compare before going on and stating the ex player was better/ more respected by blacks and box did u miss (read: ignore)...

You suggested that what he does well arent core duties of a 7 and that he would be neglecting these so hard on the other hand to say he is a brillant player??? anyway Im not keen to debate Hooper against pocock or any other past wallaby 7s in a Aus v Nz 2014 thread

Fuck me thats a hedging of bets if Ive ever seen one. Bag a bloke for four paragraphs and then throw in a line about him playing well to cover yourself. have the courage to stick by your word

More pointing to futile and a waste of time comparing the two. Im backing Hooper for a big series, being our best for a few seasons isnt obviously enough for some, but maybe winning a bledisoe might earn him some respect

KB (Kurtley Beale) is the most like for like replacement for Quade cooper, I think that his form has more then marginally improved in the later rounds of super rugby. It also pleases me from a indication on how we are going to play as he with Izzy are our best counter attack options in the country. Bravo link.

Rubbish comment, not to say at best Pocock wasnt very very good but you should have stuck with your first line "futile exercise comparing'. Hooper has been laying guys out in defence for the last two years. I believe he easily commands and deserves the respect of pocock.

RE beale : even as of late June I wouldnt have liked this call due to beales tendency to 'crab' across field but as he has from the start of his tenure link has used form as his number 1 determining factor and you cant ignore the form of beale and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). I noted in the final that beale in his...

applications were to be addressed to Nick Ryan, although I'm not sure what the setup is like with the Football club board these days.

Only saw the Saracens match but Horwitz looked really sharp and scored some good tries.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Havent visited the Wallaby watch forum for a while but thought id drop in to give my two cents, I think Tevita is a solid performer but AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has to be given the nod at 13. Id like to see tomane and horne as the wingers.I am tipping Horne to have a massive year next year, I believe he has found...

    Waratahs 2015

Chapman is a good replacement for douglas in the second row as it bolsters the lineout without losing to much around the field and at scrum time.

That Manly pack did monster our boys, the rolling maul from lineouts was on roller skates. We simply had no answer. They are exceptionally big, but we need to compete better at breakdown and set piece against the likes of manly eastwood and Uni. When we had the ball going forward vs Manly at...
